You guys are working your b##t's off on ths one. Fantastic story lines like you'd find in The Twilight Zone or something. SUPER!!!! But is this illusion just for the friends and interested people at the bar?
I was doing a performance last night when a thought occured to me. I wished that "I" was the volunteer, for in just a few more seconds, I will be totally "Blown Away" ....( His Words) I envey your friends that are in the bar that night. Dave

David,
Odd as it sounds the story is true. By all means incorporate it in any way you like in your own work. I am very grateful for your original idea which has given me an idea for an effect. The way I saw the effect going was for me was to meet with a friend and to tell them the story as if it had only just happened. I would share the notebook with them and let them look through it. From there it could go a number of ways. One thing I have considered is to find a reason for them to look after the book. I would call them later when they get home to say that I think I've worked out that the man was trying to give me a message with the verses in the notebook. I ask my friend to read out the verse we had read together earlier. When he opens the notebook he finds that it's blank... This is basically your effect with a slightly different presentation. Ideally I would like a subtle way to finish so I'll keep on working on it... A |
