SHOES
===== Yeah, I know - doesn't sound very magical, does it? But if you've ever been strolling for two, three - or eight - hours at a time, you know the importance of good shoes. As my late father-in-law used to say, "If you've got $100 to spend on clothes, spend $99 on shoes - then get a flower for your lapel." So here's the tip - Deer Stags! Visit http://www.deerstags.com Their "Dress Casual" shoes are designed for people who spend hours on their feet and use a patented "S.U.P.R.O Sock Technology" that makes them feel more like slippers than shoes. Putting them on the first time was like walking on air, and after a typical 3-hour restaurant shift, my feet are still happy and ready to keep going. But the ultimate test was the 2003 White House Easter Egg Roll, which meant 8+ hours in 85-degree heat and 90 percent-plus humidity. By the time I got home, my feet were just barely starting to feel tired! I bought the "Times" style in both brown and black. The S.U.P.R.O. shoes have no metal shank (so are less trouble at airport security). They are available in a wide variety of styles, wide widths and for both men and women (although the women's styles are pretty chunky). Although they list for $59.99 and can be bought through http://www.deerstags.com for $49.99, they are available for even less at many specialty shoe discounters, such as Broadway Shoes. I got my black pair for under $40 at Burlington Coat Factory. You're welcome.
