Hey Everyone... I was just on Tommy's web site and saw his two new products that he just put out. One is an Appearing Birthday Banner that looks like a great way to start off a birthday party show and I just ordered mine.
Another one is his tube production that he features on his Read to Achieve Magic show dvd. I e-mailed Tommy and he said he will be adding a video clip of his new Spectacular Tube Production real soon. I'm saving my money for this one! Here's the link: http://tommyjamesmagic.com/buytricks.php Check it out! Perry |

Thanks for your order Harv and Perry. Shipped yesterday for you. I only had 200 of these made and in 5 days almost half are gone! If the banners sell as well as I think they will, I will have to have more made.
Jim, you crack me up! (You ARE worthy!) Tommy

Anyone interested, I only have 3 Spectacular Tube Productions left in stock. I only made 10 for the initial run as I wasn't sure how fast these would go Probably 3-4 weeks before more are ready.
Dorian, thanks for your order. Let me know what you think of the tubes when they arrive. I know you will like them! Tommy

Was it Pete Biro who said 5% of the magicians do the thinking for the rest? If that's is the correct quote I am sure Tommy would be in the 5 percent.

Only TWO left! (I'd better get making another batch right now) For people in the UK, I am in talks with Practical Magic to give them the rights to manufacture it over there. Thanks for the purchase Perry! Tommy

Moon, the "boxless" square circle idea is nothing new. It's been around since at least the 60's. Ralph Adams used to use one. I'm betting someone here might know the origin.

It is not new nor do I claim originality for the idea (OR the black art principle) I got the idea off a VHS tape years ago by a magician Bob Hargraves. He was a retired school teacher in RI and performed magic all over New England. he is now deceased. In his school show he made fish bowls appear using this method. I was so impressed with the method I made one for my flower production used in my Read to Achieve Magic Show. After putting out my DVD, I received so many e mails and compliments about the flower tube production, I decided to manufacture it. It totally takes away the box-type production. It was a new idea to me when I saw it on the tape 15 years ago. I had been around magic for a long time and I had never seen that production used like that. I like the idea that the load tube is right in front of the audience and they don't even know it! Priceless! Buy one! Help me to put my kids thru college!

Tommy, you should try to find the Adams video if you can. I think you'd like it.
It's been a while since I have seen it, but it seems to me that he had THREE tubes side-by-side, and only the center one used BA ... he then nested them or some such thing! Sorry for being so vague, but it's been a while since I have seen it. It was on the companion video to his book. Who knows, it may be on Youtube by this time! |

I had a play with the birthday banner yesterday whilst visiting Jeremy and Cheryl at Practical Magic. Very nice!
Jeremy put me on the spot (as usual) and asked me to perform it to camera a couple of minutes later - this was my attempt: http://youtu.be/Lmb7Bzwz3ws

Two small notes on the production in the video....
why show a clear tube empty by looking through the ends... why not look through the sides? and.. why not spread out your production items so that the kids can see the volume of stuff.. you immediately take the streamers.. ball them up.. and hide them... why not let them FLOW out of the basket? Why not have a flower pot for each bouquet.. that would look like a HUGE production.. and still could stack VERY small in your case.. |
