Is The Way of the Master.
Has anyone used any magic effect with the ideas in the book. (use of the 10 commandments...and being unable to keep them all...leading to only one way to salvation...) Be safe, well and creative.... Harris

See http://www.livingwaters.com for tons of written and video materials using this method. As for Gospel magic- if I remember right- I think several of the segments on our cable access programs for http://www.ChristianMagician.org referred to The Ten Commandments.
Some of them may be (and I did not double check): ***Now That's Magic! #8 at the 1:41 mark: Pro Sands of the Desert ***22:22 mark: Barry Mitchell's Chain of Sin ***Now That's Magic! #9: Pressed Penny with MagicBob at the 35:30 mark (fast forward to that spot in the video). Routine also printed through a link on the web site. ***Also link for printing on the http://www.ChristianMagician.org web site: the routine using the "mirror frame" based on James 1:22-24 ***See toward the end of Magic With A Message #2 I believe- "On The Logos Hope"- the John de Vries "Blok Cord" effect- also printed on pages 24-25 of The Christian Conjurer, February, 1972- see the "members only" library site at http://www.fcm.org ***On Magic With A Message #1- Duane Laflin early in the "MagicBob and Friends" program does a Gospel Soft Soap which could be used very easily to incorporate this message. I really like using the Ten Commandments in evangelism- examples of it can be heard live on "Witness Wednesday" every Wednesday afternoon on "Wretched Radio with Todd Friel" which is streamed on the web daily. |

I used to use the Chains of Sin alot. Sometimes I take things out of my most used prop bag and forget about them. You are appreciated once again by, Harris

A good subpoint that could be made with the "red" guilty chain is if we break even one link or commandment- we have broken the entire chain or law. See James 2:10: "For whoever shall keep the whole law (black or red or blue chain), and yet stumble in one point (link), he is guilty of all." But due to Christ's complete sacrifice as the perfect One who never violated the law (white chain), we "are not under law but under grace." Romans 6:14(b) Nice effect- I think I will use it as part for the older kids program I am doing this Sunday. I forgot about "Chains of Sin" myself- need to dig up my set. Great idea of Barry to use large plastic chain rather than ropes.
