The shame of it is, he could get re-elected for the sole reason that there's no definitive candidate for the other side. I certainly wouldn't say that he has nothing to worry about.
Too bad that Romney has the baggage of that healthcare issue in Mass. Apparently no-one wants to let it go. I agree that Palin and Trump ( though I really like Trump's guts ) aren't viable. Huckabee looks good, but probably won't run. Michele Bachmann might end up being a strong contender. Regardless, there is still time. If a strong candidate comes to the front, I surely believe Obama can lose. |

Heck, I'd vote against him as long as the candidate had a pulse.

It's interesting that we might see two reality show performers campaigning against PT Barnum.

What do you make of the fact that Obama's approval rating is twice that of the Republican controlled Congress?
A function of party, positions, or institution?

Well, landmark,

Not UBL, but Seal Team 6, perhaps. It's early in the cycle, though. By the time the election rolls around, who will remember UBL?

If Obama is smart--and he is--he will find the way to parlay this into 2012 victory. I think it's a game changer.

I don't think he's that smart, and any attempt to make political hay out of it will backfire.
