Download 1 - First Aid box is a very clever bit of thinking, I've made up what needs making and am looking forward to doing it, for me I will be performing as a non effect and won't make a big deal out of it I think this will give the strongest possible reaction.
Queekers has a very odd name, I learnt this from Dave's trickery dvd and already perform. Its a nice one to pull out if you know you're performing to poker players. Download 2 - If there's one thing Mr Forrest knows how to do its colour changing deck routines, I LOVE the fact that you change 2 separate piles at the same time, it puts a real roadblock in the way of anyone trying to back track. Bil-Ink is also from trickery so I'm well aware of it, if there was a version that didn't use a TT I'd really like it but I'm honestly not a can, sorry! Download 3 - Pack of Lies - there's nothing like a sucker explanation to completely reel spectators in and then leave them completely baffled - genius handling and method. Sometimes you watch a trick and can't help but smile and think that's something I want to do, Monterey Jacks is one such trick. for me this is the stand out effect of the 4 downloads. Theres nothing more magical than when it happens in a spectators hands. Download 4 - Boxing Clever I also know from Trickery, one of the most well thought card to matchbox effects there is. Not too hard and plays big. Royale with Threes - didn't expect the end at all, really nice and unexpected 4 of a kind production. Overall I'd say these downloads if bought as a bundle represent great value for money, every trick is a worker and Dave Forrest performs and teaches very well with his cheeky charming style. If you don't have these then get them, if you can only afford 1 then buy number 3! |

Here is my Review:
Download 1: First Aid Box + Queekers First Aid Box: This is CLASSIC Cameron Francis, such a simple and beautifully constructed effect. Would make a really nifty opener, and great fun to do. Also has a very magiciany feel, as David Forrest talks about during the download. Simple, organic, PH like, and very commercial! 9/10 Queekers: This is a really nice packet kind of effect, with a kicker ending. Very much like it and will use it, however, it does have a considerable amount of sleight of hand, and I somewhat feel it could maybe be slightly streamlined even more? Still, a nice effect that I will use! 8/10 Download 2: Blurred + Bill - Ink Blurred: BRILLIANT EFFECT. Worth the price of ALL the downloads. This really is AMAZING take on colour changing deck. My new fave effect! 10/10!!!!!!!!! Bill Ink: Wasn't fond of this simply because of T**** *** and also because I'm only a card guy. 7/10 as some may love it! Download 3: Pack of Lies: A card is divined when put in the box. The magi then reveals it by showing a hole in the box, so one can see the index of the bottom card of the deck. The magi then does it again, and then shows the hole has GONEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can be examined. Again, worth SO SO much more than the download price! 10/10!!!!!! Monterey Jacks: Such a commercial, simple sandwich effect. SO SO workable. 9/10. Download 4: Boxing Clever + Royale with Threes Boxing Clever: SO clever. A really genius card to matchbox effect! 8/10. Royale with Threes - Not my kind of thing, but for flourishers, a great effect! 7/10. Overall, the download price of all of them is SO reasonable. All the effects are classic Forrest + one classic Francis. GREAT GREAT STUFF! Kyle So genius |

Here's the rest of my review!
Pack of Lies (Dave Forrest) Let me say that I’m giving this 5 star right off the bat… this is BRILLIANT. I can’t say enough of Pack of Lies. It’s such a well choreographed routine that it sucker punches the audience at the end of the effect. Let me say that I’m 100% honest when I say this will be an effect that I’ll perform on a daily basis now. When you see the handling and method behind Pack of Lies you know its Dave at his best, and the best part is everything is completely examinable at the end – and you’re left 100% clean! Monterey Jacks (Dave Forrest) The first time I saw this performed, it fooled me… I didn’t have a clue. The entire routine is streamlined perfectly; it’s convincing, it’s clean and it’s all achieved with simple sleights. The moment the spectator spreads the cards in between their hands to find their selection holds the biggest impact, and really urges the spectators to say, “…but, HOW?!” Boxing Clever (Dave Forrest) This is one of those effects that definitely “packs small, plays big”. Although this won’t be something I’ll be performing (as I have my own handling), this shouldn’t be overlooked – it’s very clever. What I love the most is the beautiful image of the empty matchbox before the card appears. And, this packs a little bit of humor here and there. Royale with Threes (Dave Forrest) I wasn’t too fond of this one. It’s nice a nice routine that starts off as a sandwich effect and ends with an unexpected flourish-esque 4 card production. There’s a small set-up, but if you want a fancy little quickie, than you’ll like this, but for me, I’ll pass… but who knows, I’ll probably check it out sometime again later. Blurred (Dave Forrest) Besides Pack of Lies this is worth the price of the DL alone! You’ve have to watch the demo to appreciate how astonishing this looks. It reminds me of another one of Dave’s effect, Color Burn which he also mentions on the DL. The instant of the two halves changing color is visually striking and plays a big part of the effect – a remarkable take on the color-changing deck. Bil-Ink (Dave Forrest) I really like this effect, I really do but it requires a standard magician’s prop that I normally don’t use. Although, I’m confident that I will potentially perform this sometime in the near future as I’ve been looking into a practical and convenient bill to Sharpie cap. Also it’s a really nice illusion when the signed bill appears to come out of the cap because it has that believable factor when the spectator only sees the cap and the Sharpie in your hand, especially since you’re hands are empty from their POV. Dave is unquestionably a one-man creative machine and I suggest not missing out on these DLs – there’s something you’ll learn and perform. For the price of these DLs you can’t go wrong.

Great reviews! What's up with the TT haters, though? A TT is powerful weapon!
I originally read Bill Ink in Dave's Quickfire booklet and immediately fell in love with it. The illusion is awesome.

@Cameron Francis In my case, I used to use a TT for various of bill switches and whatnot, but as I performed more and more, my performance style changed and I tended to move away from the TT. Don't get me wrong, I've seen another performance of Bill-Ink from Dave and I also fell in love with the effect, but it IS a great illusion, as you stated!

Just for the record I performed Monterey Jacks from download 3 tonight at a gig about 6 or 7 times and the reactions I got were superb, as I mentioned in my review this is for me the stand out effect of the downloads and tonight has reinforced that to me!

@cmpmagic Amazing! I swear that I thought there was a duplicate involved, it's that clean and straight forward!
@KyleMacNeill I agree, my new go-to effect is now Pack of Lies. I love the premise of the effect and the method is sooo devious, that you can help but play around with it just to fool yourself!

Had almost all of these effects already, was really excited about the 'new' bit of the email but I soon got over that.
I've been doing a few of these effects for a long time now. Pack of Lies I considered to be a little (relatively) unknown gem and I found Blurred as part of a free download. Really great stuff! I think this shows the power of good marketing. These effects were great where they were but made all shiny it really shows how great they are! Seems that visual media is the way to go! Might get the first download, think they are the only two I don't have. Blurred is great, nice to see the demos of the effects that I had only read and slightly different handlings of the others. Tempted to get them all though, always enjoy a Full52 production, lots to learn!

Fantastic and mind-blowing visual effects - Congrats to Dave and Cameron!

I got download #1 First Aid Box/Queekers and Download #3 Pack of Lies/Monterey Jacks. Have to agree with everybody on these- Both #1 & #3 downloads are great! I really love First Aid Box- this is so easy and yet is so amazingly visual. Great thinking on this one Cam. Quekkers I had from the trickery DVD set- if you don't have that- I HIGHLY reccomend you get it- everything on those dvd's is usuable material.
Pack of Lies is just so sweet. Pulls the layman in when you show them how the trick was done- but then you slap them across the face when what you just showed them disappears! As for Monterey Jacks: again, just some great thinking that is super easy to perform! This will double slap the specs in the face! And as I mentioned- so so easy to perform- you know what they say- the simpler the trick, the harder it hits! RNK
