Hi guys, I have a question about appearing cages, they come in different sizes here in the Philippines, they come in small, medium, large, and extra large. I have the small one, which for lovebirds.
Now my question is, which size is safe for a dove load? Would the medium do the job?

You should contact the company that sells the cage you are interested in, and explain your needs. Ask them for advice.

Difficult question to answer. There are several manufactures and not all make the same size cages. What my be a medium cage for one, could be what they call a large. Take Michaels advice above and contact the company for their advice.

After contacting the company, then post a specific manufacturer cage question for other opinions.

Also some cages are not made to actually have a live bird in them.
That is a very important consideration as well. |

Would a small cage be enough room enough for a single dove?

Medium to one manufacturer may be small to another. Best to contact the dealer or manufacturer and as them what the cage is safe to hold. As Wmhegbli said, some cages aren't meant to hold a live dove.

Dave I am using rabbits now and they are very easy to care for.
I need to wait until I have the time to properly work with Doves. I don’t know anything about the care of Doves and I am going to do more research before branching into other types of animals for my act. Thanks Buzz |
