Excellent, informative, funny! Thanks!
I shall certainly be getting Wayne Bodson's latest offering as it sounds great and very versatile. No Matthew? Not impressed! (Better be back for the Birthday Celebrations next week) Does Ollie Mealing post here?

That review of the domino monte just saved me some cash as I was seriously considering picking it up. Now that I know it doesn't use the principle I assumed it did, I won't be buying it. Thanks guys.

If these work on the same principal that I’m absolutely sure they work on I can easily see just how insanely difficult the angles would be! Someone simply moving a few feet to the left or right etc. and the whole thing is blown! Nice looking ad though!

The main trouble with 'Domino Monte' is that it screams 'Can we examine the dominos?'.
And if the dominos don't scream that, the audience sure will be! They can't test these things out in the real world very much or only in front of a audience they have drugged!

Well, gaffed, the dominoes pretty much have to work on the principle we're both thinking of.
(And to be honest, Craig did flash it a tiny bit...). Just not worth it. It reminds me of some of the better effects in magic kits for children. |

Wow, that Dobson routine was extremely clean. I'll be picking that one up.

Agreed, Andrew, this seems like something that would play huge with spectators. The dominoes effect was disappointing and pretty obvious in my opinion. Great show again guys!

The Domino Monte is the same thing I got free a long time ago for ordering over $15 worth of magic. They don't even look like normal dominoes!
I do have the Skip Switch (but I bought it at a large discount) and thought it was a cool utility move. |

Well, gaffed, the dominoes pretty much have to work on the principle we're both thinking of. What do you mean they have to work on the principle you are thinking of? I got the working from Dave's comments but other than that I can think of several ways they could work. I watched the video several times looking for the flashes. Where exactly are they? |

Prestopresto, I agree. Based on the ad photo, I'd ruled out the principle that it turned out to be and thought it might be something else. I didn't see the working until they zoomed the camera in on the dominoes.

Thanks for the comments on this weeks show guys.
I have had so much feedback about Wayne's effect and I agree it's great. I think with a book we can miss routines sometimes and not notice how good something is until we see it performed. When I am looking at a book I always try to find a routine to 'get off the stick' because a book is not very visual. There were so many items to choose from with this book it was really hard! Oh and I agree the dominoe thing is total crap!!!! Craig |

Yeah that McDobson's aces routine is going into my repertoire as soon as I learn it and figure out a way to work it in. Talk about clean.

The cover picture on "Look No Hands" is absolutely hilarious!
Proof positive that Wayne Dobson, aside from his creativity, must have one hell of a sense of humor!

It happens when Craig pushes one domino forward and tilts it back to show what it IS a two. (Or was it a five? Can't remember anymore...). Quote:

Just ordered Wayne's book direct from his website, so just goes to show that with a good trick these reviews can generate sales.
