Now there's a memory I won't forget soon. My uncle Henry was a south Philly bookie, who had a beautiful red head Scottish war bride wife, and my ex wife and I loved to visit them. Once when we were in their neighborhood we stopped in to say hello, there were three thugs sitting at the kitchen table sipping tea, and eating cookies with her. One of those thugs was Joey Giardello, who told me that a trip to Snyder Ave. wouldn't be complete unless he stopped by to have a cup of tea with aunt Gretta. She had the ability to tame a tiger.
