What is your favorite Video, DVD, Book, or lecture for kids shows?

My favorite kid show video is David Ginn's Live Kidbiz. I like the format---the video shows the live performances and the book that comes with it shows the stuff behind the scenes.
Other Ginn books I love are Professional Magic for Children and Children Laugh Louder. David writes to teach, and not to show off his knowledge. Another gem of a book is Kid Stuff Five by Frances Marshall. It's a treasure trove of routines and ideas. Ben Benjay Manila, Philippines |

I'm going with Mark Leveridge's video tape.

I have found that kid's tapes seem to be of a lesser quality to close up and other tapes. The few I have bought have been quite poor so I will watch this thread with keen anticipation

Yea, I understand, Nicholas. The reason I picked Leveridge's is because it's the ONLY kids tape I have.

I also like Mark Leveridge's Magic Party Books & video. I also enjoyed Dan Harlan's Kids Party volume in the Plays Big, Packs Small series.

I also find that I can get some great ideas from BJ Hickman's magic tapes as well. Some good ideas in it. I also like and reccomend any of David Ginn's tapes for pure creatiove thinking and routining to a theme.

I love Silly Billy's "Creating the perfect kid show trick." It has helped me improve all my routines, including adult ones. But of course, especially the kid routines. I also like Silly Billy's book about crowd control.
I recently got Ken Scott's birthday show video and highly recommend it. It's very well produced and shows Ken's entire show and then follows with a detailed interview, where Ken talks about, among other things, his extensive use of the Showtech sound system. I'm also enjoying and learning from a few of Ken's books of routines and money making and creative booking ideas and stradegies. Best, Jim

ken certainly has some great ideas and i look forward to his lecture with us in Philadelphia in Feb. I also like silly Billy's "Creating the perfect kid show trick". It has been very helpful to me.
I always try to learn from every video I watch. even if I may not enjoy the style or presentation, I usually can get something out of every one.
