Joe Cabral has announced details for the 2011 Gathering of the Magi.
It's to take place from Nov 10-12, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel & Resorts in Southbury Connecticut.
This year's honoree is none other than Walt Anthony.

details can be found at http://www.icbmmagick.com

Don't miss out!
This is the convention that everyone talks about.

This is the convention that everyone is a little leary about coming to and then when they do, they book their tickets for next year's convention wondering how did I miss this all these years.

This is the convention that has the feel of a family reunion. Meet old friends. Meet new friends you've never met before.

This is the convention with the fully stocked hospitality suite that is open until the last body leaves.

This is the convention with some of the most original performances that you will see in your life.

THIS IS THE CONVENTION YOU WANT TO ATTEND!!!!

Register ASAP and enjoy the best three days of the year.

Just spoke with Grand Magus Joe Cabral,
he has a very special line up of lectures, workshops, shows and events planned.

It will be a fantastic three-days, and I wonder how big a 20th Year cake has to be???
There are surprises cooked up in the caldron as well, perhaps a midnight seance?

It's early to plan, but don't miss out, and lock in a good airfare early.
Be there and be Bizarre (or theatrical, or story-loving)

Magically,
Walt

Please try to get your registrations in as early as possible.

Joe takes responsibility of the bill so that we can all have a good time when we get there.

I know things are tight in this economy, but imagine how much money you'd be spending on ulcer medication if you were the one responsible for the bill at the end of the event.

Give Joe a break this year, register early so he knows way ahead of time how many people are coming and that costs are covered.

I'm sure he'll be grateful.

For those that never attended one of the Gatherings, you have to know that the hospitality suite is the best ever. Well stocked with drinks, some alcohol. You're free to bring your own as well. I know that Victor Noirlocke usually brings a bottle of his favorite wine to consume during the late evening hours. There's munchie food like chips and pretzels. Homemade food like chili and cakes. It varies from Gathering to Gathering but there's always enough to satisfy that late night craving.

And then the room itself. Joe rents out the biggest hospitality suite the hotel has. It has a conference table or two, a living room setting. Extra chairs are brought in and people spend the night away discussing magic, theater, books they read, new effects they're working on or old ones that they are tweaking. It's a relaxed atmosphere. A nice way to wind down the evening. Occasionally someone performs something but it's not like some conventions where you sit around tables and show the latest card trick you learned.

The Gathering is about friends gathering together to have a good time. And that's what we do. Will you join us this year?

Sleep is an option at the Gatherings,
but not necessarily the best creative option...

And that person above this post, Walt Anthony, is the guest of honor this year.

World renowned magician, author, conjurer, sous chef, master cobbler, peanut sheller, book store browser, and the only person in the world to bowl a 305. Come to the Gathering and ask him how he did it.
