Strange! but I have a degree in Computer Science, so I guess it's our "obsessive-compulsive" mentality that keeps us exploring, cataloging, indexing, trying, testing etc etc

Just finished listening to this yesterday... Fantastic!
Far from the beginnin being pointless I would say that it sets the scene perfectly. While the information may not be new for some it does set out the process Ant and Kev have been through. The outcome is a breath of fresh air. Being able to lose inductions is one thing but being able to convert people who are lows (stanford scale) to highs in a very short time is amazingly beneficial for both entertainment and therapy. Today I have implemented this new approach several times, including on someone I know as a 'low' with incredible results. I would advise any and all take a serious look at this model. In both performance and therapy it radically increases your chance of success. James Brown |

Hi Zerbuble, I have listened to this myself. Can I ask you for some help? What do you acually say to people?
What I have been able to take from this Model is that you aqsk them to "Imagine" something and then tell them that the "Imagining" becomes "automatic". Is that the gist of it...or am I missing something? BTW, can I have my watch back? |

Wow, that is some testimonial James. Many thanks for taking the time to listen and more importantly test.
Knowing that your own ideas have a leaning toward the imagination I am pleased you got so much from it. Many thanks, Anthony

Just wanted to update everyone. I have just received this and listened to it. I've got somewhat mixed feelings about it at the moment. I'm going to put it in action and test it this weekend. Once, I've worked with it and put it into practice a bit, I'll come back with reports and a full review.

Placed the order so let's wait to turn me a higher subject aswell.
I will post my thoughts after testing it! After listening the podcast was great because I'm studying hypnosis by myself and my idea of hypnosis is not the same as the books. After some time already performing is that I only engage their imagination that's why you give suggestions. They see it, they feel it etc. Expectation enhance imagination aswell. Lets see what AI is all about Have a great day gentlemans! Hope to meet someday some of you. In my country hypnosis as entertainment doesn't exist so it made harder to learn but not impossible so if you think you cant do it think again, you already have all the tools to do it. Live with boldness! |

It doesn't matter if the concept is new or old, the presentation and thinking are new. The meat may be the same but the gravy is different and it's today. That's the important thing in my book.

It's good that the presentation and thinking are new. I'm assuming they are although I haven't seen this yet (not that I haven't been offered it from friends who wanted to geive me their thoughts). But whilst it's nice to have different gravy it has to taste good.
Personally I think this was perhaps released a little too early. That's my 'feel' on this. I think I DO understand what's being said in AI, but there's a click that needs to be clicked somewhere and I haven't heard it yet. I WANT to feel excited about things, and if I'm not then I feel that that's not my fault. I want my sausages but I want them !@#$%^&* sizzling! And if not then I want to know 'why not?' And I feel this sausage isn't sizzling.... yet I feel it's ok to post this here as the last thing Anthony and Kev need are tongues licking their nether regions from people who say nice things in almost a socially compliant way. I feel that can cheapen both them and their product. Personally I'd prefer if everyone stopped talking about this until it was confirmed one way or the other if it's any good. I mean significantly good. My final conclusion is that it went to market just a tad too early (actually I alrady said that?). Although it's always nice to earn a crust and I haven't read one singe person actually complain about the product. My main point? Back to the opening comment that 'the presentation and thinking are new'. I think it has to be CLEARLY defined where it's new and how. I say that based on what I hear from others who have had a look and spoken to me personally. I've just read through the above and am now asking myself if I really want to submit this post. I like Anthony and Kev and I do hope this is read as what it is: constructive criticism of something that might grow to be simply wonderful. I do hope it does. Anyway, should I press the submit button or not....?

Bobser,
Are you reviewing something you haven't listened to as well? HK

Bobser,
HH product releases are slow and measured thanks, that is one reason why the quality is so high. I have no interest in flooding the market with things that are not thought through. I resent your implication that this was released just to earn a crust especially as you do not have it. If you did you would know what is new. Anthony

Hypnokid,
It was NOT a review. Anthony Jacquin; I disagree that HH products are slow and measured. In fact quite the opposite I feel. And the quality is as good as all the other stuff out there. But hey, it's the digital age. Just how bad do you have to be to be fuzzy nowadays? I never said that your product was 'released JUST to earn a crust'. Rather by implication I suggested that it was released too early (which I stand by)but I also recognise that you are in a commercial industry and NOT just trying to help out the proletariate, just like every other person in here who are happy to sell their advice and help. Nothing wrong with that. Interestingly enough, I do note that I've said quite a few nice things about you and your work in the past, none which I have been thanked for by you at any time that I can remember. That's not why I wrote it. I wrote it for others who perhaps sought my opinion at the time. My opinion has never been sought by you and that's perfectly alright with me. I guess that's why I don't have to be too bothered too much about whether or not you resent anything I say. And your last sentence I didn't understand. Look, you're a Sassenach, I understand that. But here's the deal; 'Nemo Me Impune Lacessit'

Yeah I think you stopped at the free RIP disk but anyway. I love your opinion Bob. When you speak I listen. That is why I sit next to you and stare in that way when we have lunch together.

Thanks for the random insult. What makes you think that Ant's product was released too early? Too soon for the universe, you mean? HK

Hi HK, sorry 'bout that .
To be serious for a moment, I'm quite unhappy with lots of stuff that gets released from many of my friends in the hypnotic, mentalist and magic community. And for a variety of reasons. But I really have no desire to say anything more about this on a public forum. If Anthony was interested in my opinion he would have asked me. He didn't. If I was interested in giving it to him I would have. I didn't. Therefore we'll just continue to have these lunches together, that he has now informed the whole fecking world about! Where he insists on sitting next to me, staring into my eyes, with that same longing nocturnal Jacquinesque glazy look. In the past, at the end of our sweet, he would light two cigarettes and ever so slowly, taking one from his mouth..... .... anyway, the smoking ban stopped all that. Thank Christ. I found it all a bit too much to be honest.

I'm quoting bobser's post because it almost made me spew pepsi all over my nice MacBook Pro. Just wanted to say to Mr. Jacquin thanks for the new material and just purchased my copy. I had purchased RIP over a year ago and haven't had a chance to begin absorbing it. Doing that this week and next with RIP, Igor's PoCH, Banachek's PSI DVDs, and Paul Brook's Alchemical Tools. Mr. Jacquin (apologies if too formal, but this is my first response to you), you mentioned the issue of self-deception around the first page of this thread and that that tied into what you're doing. I'm currently reading a PhD dissertation on Self-Deception. Though the dissertation (USC Berkley I think) is written from an apologetic standpoint, you have me curious as to how this could be tied into the AI model. Is the self-deception issue covered in the audio track or is there a paper/book you could point me to that covers this in greater detail? I plan to use some of the material I learn on my co-workers. My end goal will be to have the annoying one's get their hands stuck to the table until they learn to stop bothering me. Our guard unit has an upcoming paperwork inspection. The other goal is to scare the hell out of the really annoying ones and plant suggestions in our wing commander. I work in a vault with no windows, so we keep "sane" through experimenting on the "outsiders". Yes we get bored. |
