However Sankey is a creative guy as is Rich so I'm just saying you stick the two of them in a room again and get the camera rolling and look out With that being said I do prefer Richard over Jay but you stick the two together and its visual magic and ROTFL comedy!!! Just my two cents -Bobby |

Totally rockin Richard! I watched the demo twice and loved it. Very magical looking and I love the moment of the appearance. I will admit it has fooled me and for that I am grateful these days! I thought I figured it out but I was way off the mark.
Well done brother! TC
As magicians we create what onlookers call magic. If they truly believe in what we have created for them to witness then magic is real!!!

Spidey alluded to something I mentioned when I saw it. The concept is the same as I use for my Schrodinger's Card. If they see the torn corner and it matches the missing corner of the card, they have a trick followed by a puzzle: (How did it get in there?" Hwever, if you fold the corner so they cannot see the index or be sure it mathces, they have a dilemma. Not only does the question arise of how a torn corner end up in there but if they want to know if it from their card, they have to pop the section open. However, once they pop it open, the impossible object is ruined. They now have a keepsake that keeps giving!

So are you suggesting we not fold the corner so they can match it up and keep it sealed inside, or to fold it and force them to open it and match it up?

Just to let all you know, that the idea is not new as previously stated in this forum. Roy Johnson of England deviced the 1st Playing Card in Chewing Gum back in the late 1960's. He published his routine, which is very entertaining, in his 1st book "The Roy Johnson Experience" published by Goodliffe Publication in England, 1970. In this version, the corner is torn from the card, and the corner retained, the rest of the card vanishes and is later found wrapped in the chewing gum wrappers. This was created for a stand up routine in his act, not for close-up magic.
Later, Ken Brooke devised an additional handling, which could be used with one of his magic props. This trick was a playing card being in a Stick of Gum like the wrapped Wrigley's Doublemint stick gum. They had not invented the heat sealed gum packages as used in this version of the trick. This was created for close-up magic use. Of course these are totally different handlings, so the trick is totally new, the premise was used by Roy Johnson 1st, though, he is still alive and well in England. I corresponded with him recently. |

Alright, so cause an internal dilemma. I understand what you mean, but I think they`ll all pop it open after they react and then there is nothing left to show people.

Jon, I must say I love the idea behind the Schrodinger's Card... it's so genius! It really plays on peoples' perception of magic.

Who else started laughing when they saw Spidey "the pickup artist magician" talking to the underage girls?

Who else started laughing when they noticed dougnicols has horrible age estimation skills? That video was filmed in a university, those girls are 22 and I'm 25.... now then, anything constructive to say?
and besides, is there a rule in magic that says we arent allowed to perform for underage people?! Im selling an effect, not an instructional DVD on pickup... but thanks for following my career man |
