That was an exceptional case, though, as a sequel to a blockbuster than brought in about half a billion dollars. He's generally in the 20-million range, which is pretty much the top of the A-List category.

Pop quiz. Who was the first actor to be paid $20 million for a single movie, and what was the movie?
No googling.

Stallone for one of the Rocky or Rambo movies?
Brando for Superman?

No, and no. Much more recent, though I believe Brando did set a record with Superman with $3.7 mil, and only 13 days work.
Granted, I'm not considering adjustment for inflation, (Brando's Superman payday would be about 12.7 mil today) so it was a $20 mil paycheck at the time they got it.

Think it was Jim Carrey. Don't remember which movie. Maybe the Mask or something.

So, what about the real ones who either don't know what they are carrying or truly believe they are about to travel to a better place and are doing the rest of those affected a favor?

Some duffii got into considering how paying movie stars money might distract some folks from terrorism - while managing to overlook how what they star in might incite it.

These same three people are going to be in charge of monitoring millions of people nationwide! And there's only the three of them, what happens when one dies?
