Thanks to all who serve and served.

"To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."
"The dog did nothing in the night-time."

Not too many left who were there originally. You'd have to be at least 85 now to have been at Normandy. A truly horrific and heroic action.

I can't imagine what those first guys went through that day. My Dad was there later on that day. Thank god he made it. War is never a good thing.
I too would like to thank all verterans.

'Member the beach scene in "Saving Private Ryan?" Just seeing it on film dang near gave me shell-shock. Can't even imagine being there for real. And to think the Frogmen swam onto those beaches with usually nothing more than a knife.
That kind of stuff is scary but fascinating.

An astounding achievement, one that could have gone horribly wrong in so many ways. So many books on the subject have appeared that its hard to pick and chose.
Lord Lovat; "Give us a tune, Pipey" (Some sources the more traditional "Gie us a blaw!")
Piper; "It's not regulation, sir."
Lord Lovat; "Today, we are a highland regiment."
