Hello there, everybody.
I'm looking for a resource to purchase some of those black plastic card boxes (like the the Marshall Brodien version I had as a kid). The box had a black plastic sheet inside that, when closed, would make it possible to vanish/transpose cards. I want smaller ones- business card size. Magnetic 'locking' versions would be great, but the standard kind would suffice as well. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. |

The card box you discribed was made by the Adam's Magic and Novelty Company. They have been sold to Magic Makers, Inc. You will have to check with them if they are making this item from the Adams Magic line.
What you are looking for is called a "Card Box" or "Magnetic Card Box". If you are looking for wholesale, then contact Magic Makers. You may have to purchse one, to see if the box or instructions has the source listed. Most of this stuff is made in China now. Fun Inc. is the only manufacturer of plastic magic tricks that makes their own stuff in Chicago. Loftus Novelty aka Empire Magic line has a magnetic box, they are wholesalers only. https://www.loftus.com/item/GD-0022 They do not list the box separately, so they may be sold out of box only, I know they did sell the boxes only. If you do not want to buy wholesale, then here it is for retail price: http://www.elmwoodmagic.com/full/Card-Ma......_686.htm Please note that wholesalers usually have a minumim purchase dollar value, usually $500. So if you do not want $500 worth of boxes, tnen you will have to buy retail. Last I heard, Magic Makers is around $250.00 minumim. |

I just checked the Magic Makers dealer site, and could not find the card boxes listed. I will contact my rep and see what he says.
I am also a dealer for Loftus. According to the site, they only have the card boc in a combo pack with a book that teaches 25 tricks with a card box. I will also contact my rep there for you to see what she says about getting the boxes alone. How many are you looking to acquire?
