Here is a Remote Controlled Cigar Box Flea Circus I built. It measures 15” X 15” and is handcrafted with Walnut and Red Oak. All of the animations are handmade with oak and brass. It is operated by a 12 channel remote control.

That is one of the most beautiful things I've seen. I love that it's all remote..

How is the water held in the prop? If I'm busking.. will it stand up to 4-5 shows a day for an extended period?

WOW... This is just a fun cool prop!! I must admit that as a puppeteer and magician, my favorite actions are the ones that look the most organic. The tightrope is fun, there are few others that look pretty good as well. I tend to have a problem with magic props that look and feel like mechanical devices. It is VERY hard to get a digital (on/off) device to not look mechanical. For audio-animatronic character animation at Disney, so many features have to be analog to have smooth accel and decel rates to try and create a better look for motion. Even then they read as fake so the latest A-100 figures have compliance designed in to allow better motion. It's REALLY challenging. I know there is a spirit bell I saw on here with the same issue. It looks organic and amazing but reads as mechanical because it jerks rather than "moves". That sets off subliminal cues in the mind of the audience that it's mechanical, even though they have no idea how it works.

As magicians we're attracted to mechanical devices because they're just really cool. I just want them to have the same animation they would if we did them manually. Then it is great!

There is a small water tank that is easily refilled in fact the whole circus can be reset in about 5 min.
I don't see any problem using this 4-5 shows a day.

Thanks again,
Nick
