In a performance point of view I will never repeat the same experience with the same methods. Maybe using other of my variants for ACAAN I can do that.
In a methodology point of view as I say this approach can be repeated. Maybe for another group if you are working for small groups or in stage show with the same deck or just changing a few things. You can probe your premise (influence for example) if you use the same deck for other group. My premise was about intuition and an "apparent prediction" of the thoughts that I have.

The nature of the experiment precludes its repetition!
Great demo Pablo. d

That in the end is what is fundamentally wrong with ACAAN and mentalism, it still looks more like a card trick than it does mentalism. You have to be so careful when introducing cards into a mentalism act. And with ACAAN with all the fiddling about and counting and what not, it screams magic trick louder than it does mentalism. You might be even be trying to help me while I'm performing, but really once you've experienced a particular event-- you're tainted. you've been changed by what you've gone through... Sure, I could do it again. But if it worked... then it'd probably just be luck... or a trick. d

That was not bad Vinny, however if I was going to do a selected card at any number, I wold use Barrie Richardson's Impromptu Card at Any Number. It doesn't get much better then his version.
I agree with Iain...This is a great example of the difference between a magician and a mentalist. |

Welcome guys.
A miracles should be a one time experience but if you are worried about repetition factor, it is a workable piece. Just enjoy the performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKutE0vYYAo

I agree! Repeating an effect is a no no. That was magic/mentalism 101. The only reason people ask for a repeat, is to try and spot the method. NEVER do a repeat!
Great demonstration Amira. |

I don't recall any professional show being halted so that the performer could be requested to repeat a trick.
In rare instances the performer willingly repeats an effect himself but this is normally structured in a challenge presentation (ambitious card, ace assembly with different vanishes etc. spring to mind)rather than at spectator request. The surprise element of the climax is what generally makes things successful so when people know what is coming from the get go they can devote all their attention to analysing everything in detail. Letting the spectator control your actions can leads them to think they can stop your handling at any moment to check the position/identity of certain cards etc. etc. The performer decides what is shown and when. People often misremember an effect to the performer's advantage. Repeating an effect, you lose that advantage.

Perhaps I did not make my self clear. First I was not doing a formal show It was a informal situation at a resturant. I just performed and ACCAN effect ,just as I was getting ready to move on I was asked if I could do this efferct again for the clients wife I said yes, of course it was a differnt card and little different patter, but is was the same effect
and I received 100tip the spectators were very impressed, it was not the the un holy grail it is my pet effect thought card at any number that I share with no one vinny |
