So I have a deck of dolphin cards.
I'm not proud of it, but there it is. My mom gave them to me and I accepted them to be polite. I've always thought of them as being pretty silly and new-age-airy-fairy. In fact I never really even tried them out. My wife saw them this morning and asked about them, so I had her mix them up and laid out 5 cards (body, mind, spirit, over arching unifying theme, underlying issue/advice) and who would have believed it... it was a wonderful reading. I think I'll use them more! The cards are little (probably 1" diameter circles) with one key word per card. There are no extra association except those you intuit, it's simultaneously spelled out and free form at the same time. Just thought I'd share, if you see a deck of dolphin cards lying around somewhere definitely give them a try. -CK

We have such a stupid deck at home too (it must be an ironic present from someone who knew that my wife and I are not into new age). Do you call a case of those cards a 'deck'?
There must be more routines out there waiting for a mentalist to pick them up.

Dad showcases those on the first of his Cradle to Grave DVDs. He loves them.

I mean, those of who use mentalist reading systems (not "cold reading" just the simple reading systems) what are we doing? memorizing simple keywords and putting them together into a (hopefully) satisfying reading. Well, the dolphin cards cut to the chase and give you tons of interesting keywords to weave together. Also, these are (obviously) not "heavy" like the tarot is seen by some, so these really might be perfect for entertainment readings at parties and such. Seriously, if you have one these "decks" (or whatever) lying around give it a try; you really might be surprised.

Pokeman readings is a great idea! For the right audience, of course.
