And they all are working performers and top pros (I won't name anyone of them because I have this gut feeling telling me only 1 is guilty of piracy!) To make a long story short, the unreleased .pdf of my X-Rays Notepad has popped up in two P2P sites many months ago.

It seems making a small random variation in each of ten copies before sending them out might enable you to work out which copy has been pirated should it ever happen? Of course, that won't necessarily prove blame if there is some other explanation - but certainly some explanation would be necessary.

Exactly matthu. That is what I was suggesting in my earlier post. Such minor variations have nothing to do with standard pdf security protocols which are easily overcome. And when only a limited number of "preview" copies are sent out, it is a very easy procedure to implement.
(Random punctuation differences in each copy are excellent examples of "marks" that are impossible to detect unless you possess several different versions of the same manuscript.) (Random punctuation differences in each copy are excellent examples of "marks" that are impossible to detect, unless you possess several different versions of the same manuscript.) No, I didn't just repeat myself. The preceding parentheticals are NOT identical. If I were to send each one to a different person and, later, one was illegally uploaded and discovered by me, I would immediately know the identity of the culprit. Good thoughts, Bob |

Eric wrote me and said he was very happy with this. He said a common response from people was NO WAY this could be done. Those who are actually performing this in the real world are seeing the response it gets when properly performed.

Adding to what Devin said I'd like to say this is a lot of fun to perform. I can not put into words the reaction you get from the people as they turn over their cards. Remember nothing is written down and only "they" know what symbol they are thinking of. To them you have just entered their minds grabbed a thought and exited. It's a real nice effect and one I now use all the time.

Reviewed this week on the Wizard Product Review...seeing as it has a large amount of viewers, I'm surprised Devin isn't more concerned about Craig's lousy performance that gives away a lot of the effect, rather than an illegal pdf.

I'd like to send you something which contains my idea for combatting, in some small way, this piracy problem. Would you please be so kind as to PM me as I'm not able to PM you. Thank you Steve |

Devin,
I just want to apologise. After watching the routine on the WPR, and seeing it in full I can now see the full potential it has. Dispite Craig's performance. Tom xx
I call myself "Thomas Cooper" here because this stops the magic café appearing when people google my stage name.
Does anyone else find the term "Special User" to be a bit condescending? |

Nice to see a positive review.
I've done a couple of variations on the theme recently, using something other than the symbols and it's gone very, very well. |

I just ordered "Four told" from a german dealer and hope to get it in a few days. How can I get the add on? It would be very nice to have a second method for this wonderful piece of clear and direct mentalism.

123crampt This might be useful information:
Devin mailed mine June 20th and it arrived in New Zealand July 12th (I think.) If you have the addendum (which you should have) then you could make up your own chart based on the one in the video and start to play. Then your presentation will be honed for public consumption by the time your package arrives. Quote:

Most dealers are out of stock as the supplier is awaiting a new shipment. I have 12 or so left in stock, but they are going fast. Australia and New Zealand Shipments have been taking longer the last month or two then usual not sure why...

I think this is a great routine. My assistant does all the "calculations" and all I do is ask the questions. She brings out a deck of ESP cards, and attached to the deck is a small piece of sticky note with 4 numbers on it. She does all the work - I get all the credit. Clean!!

Tried a kid show version at a Bd party last week , surprised that it went so well, used potential pets instead of esp symbols, gave each child a party bag, with their selection in it, they went nuts,
