Separately, Bill Maplewood from Happiness (#8 on the list) is one of the best written and portrayed movie characters ever, IMO.
I hate to use the word "brilliant" to describe things, but it really was a brilliant bit of writing and acting to make a pedophile as sympathetic and human as Dylan Baker made Bill Maplewood. |

Yes, Maplewood was great. But I also thought Al Pacino was brilliant in Devil's Advocate as John Milton. Especially in his fantastic rant near the end of the film.

Dylan Baker is an underrated actor.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

What about the Dad from Frailty?
