I purchased three Deck One decks back when this was first discussed and am still using the first box. It is indeed sturdy - and it looks way cool too. Thanks!

Guess I'll have to pick up a box from Tannen's tomorrow. And, if I remember correctly, the split down the Spade on the box is JUST in the right spot, yes?

Wow, those of us who no longer have a real magic shop in our town would love to go to Tannen's to pick up a pack.

Enjoy the experience. When I visit my parents in Las Vegas, I go to Denny and Lee's.

Nothing like a real magic shop!

That is right - the slit spade is pretty much exactly where the slit goes...

I believe you mean IR. If so, it is only available directly from Jamie at: http://www.SendWonder.com

Going with Homer's INDUSTRIAL "Deck One" box, what about...

At a gig.

"You know, I go through a TON of cards when I perform. As a professional magician, I often give them out, burn them, tear them, all sorts of crazy things. So I was at a casino last week and the Pit Boss was telling me they go through a ton as well, but they've started using INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH cards and boxes. No kidding. He even gave me one! It's beautiful! There's 3 things wrong with it though..."

One, he had to punch a hole through it. They do that with all casino cards so you can't come back and cheat with them. It's kind of like a slot machine now, though, lol! Check it out~ I can push a quarter right through it. I guess maybe that's actually not like a slot machine... because with slots you never see your money again!"

Push a quarter through the hole.

"Two, these decks are super heavy!"

Place it on their hand.

"And three? They're super hard to shuffle!"

Pick it up again, and slide IR out of the box.

You know I really like that! I need to order some of those cards ASAP- also because I need one for the contest! Get those photos in!

I really like that routine idea, Jamie. Especially the reasoning for the "hole" in the deck.

The super hard to shuffle bit adds a great comedy element.

Great thinking!

Alan,
You don't need to carry this everywhere you go, and I know you know your magic, but if you want to create a truly magical moment for someone, this is a worthy investment.
It is virtually self working and the reaction is often stunned silence. Not just silence, but STUNNED silence. Once the effect registers with the spectators, some may want to be all over it. Relax, I've never had it exposed by examination. Of course I exercise audience management so no one drops it. They will check out the box, the coin and the block, then just shake their heads.

As has been mentioned before, this is MP on steroids. But it is so much more than that. Talk about an icebreaker!

I guess whether it is worth it or not is a subjective question. I know that you are a much more accomplished magician than I will ever be, and I admire your work tremendously. I will say that you will receive great reactions.

If you purchase this and don't like it I will gladly buy it from you for what you paid to use as my second backup.

Now that's a sway.

Cheers Mate!

Agree with Sammy 100%

The reactions are VERY VERY strong - and the heavy steel block is the last thing anyone expects out of that box. I always now drop the box into their waiting hands before the reveal - that is surprise #1.

When they take the block out and see that it took up the entire box top to bottom, that is the real stunner.

Not only is IR a great effect - but it is destined I think to be a collectors piece. Even though they are selling like crazy, each is hand made by Jamie poor tired hands - there is no wide distribution, and the packaging is beautiful. I use Josh Jay's pro carrier to take it with me on my belt and it is no problem...

Alan, this is really something special Smile That must be obvious by now lol.

Used this at trade show Saturday. Stunned silence and a few comments from the table.

Kinda wish so many did not have this now. Smile

Funny joke.

Somehow I don't think this is going to count.
