I watched Street Magic on TV and was quite impressed, finally, with a magic show on TV.
Several of the performers did quite well, especially Johny Ace Palmer and Michael Ammar. I must say that Michael Ammar's performance of the Wine Bottle Production was amazing. I watched it many times over and over (on TIVO) and every single word and move in that effect was perfected to a tee! A beautiful effect done with precision. I was proud!

It was just recently and I don't know what channel. I'll look it up. I have directTV and TIVO recorded it for me because it knows I like magic.
Now how cool is that!

It was on the Travel Channel. It's initial airing was about a year and a half ago, with some reruns since then. Lots of good performances, all taped in front of real people.

I saw part of it. I'm hoping it runs again soon.
It was my first real chance to see Johnny Ace Palmer and he was amazing! I found it interesting that Universal City Walk in Orlando has a street performer atmosphere yet Downtown Disney doesn't...at least not that I've seen. Robert Bloor

It's actually called "Magic in the Streets" if you are going to be looking it up, on the Travel Channel.

This one of the shows I have recorded to tape and Ammar's wine bottle topit trick was unbelievably smooth. Definitely watch if you get the chance.

I agree. I just recently saw it on the Travel Channel. I found it very entertaining and Ammar was a definite highlight in the show for me.

I agree, Ammar did have quite a routine. That was Skinner's Ultimate Monte, right?
The highlight for me was Johnny Ace Palmer, though. He concluded with Signed Card to Shoe, but all of his by-play and presentation skills really sold the whole routine. What a great performance! |

Herm, I can't seem to find the time listing on their website. Anybody know? Reply or PM me. Thanks.

That was Mike Skinner's Ultimate Three Card Monte Michael Ammar used.
You'll have to keep checking The Travel Channel schedule. They only air this show about every six months, so it probably won't be on again for a while. Bill Beach |

I would really like to see this show. I wish it got played more. If anyone knows when it'll be on PM me. This sounds far from Blaine-style magic.

Hmm, was this just recently? How come it was put on magic on TV on the illusionist magic on TV secton or other magic places that have magic on TV sections that say what channel and time? I'm really interested in this. Is this anything similar to Blaine's street magic special?

Street performing on TV...I wonder. It’s one thing to go out with a crew and do lots of takes. But the real street performers are the guys who day in and day out work the streets and don’t get to do another take. It’s a whole other world.

It's a great show. Watch for Bob Sheets' Three Shell routine, and his Rope Through Body routine. His stand-up Three Card Monte is one of my favorite routines to perform. I was at one of his lectures not too long ago and he was great!

If somebody has this on tape I would be interested in purchasing it for a few dollars.

Well, the Ammar and the Palmer segments were pretty cool, but isn't that restaurant magic as opposed to street magic?
