Lol... ah, yes... the old UFO Ball. Sadly the lights flashed everything on the opening shot! As it started, I was curious how they were going to light it to make it work. They didn't.

Lol... yeah, that is just my reference anytime I see any item that is supposed to be "floating" getting jerked around a stage!

It looks like a ballon. Where's the attempt to struggle and lift it

To be fair, the ball seems to be included as generic production value to a B-Boy act. Many times they will just add pyro, dancers or other effects to pump up an act. I guess some producer or choreographer decided magic fits in that catagory now! I can only imagine someone saying, "I saw this flying ball, what if he danced around with that?"

Such is the state of the art!

Okaaaaaaay.

I do think they were trying to make the ball move like a B-boy
…a dumb thing to attempt.

The Ball seems to be almost incidental to the act.
He seems more a dancer using a prop… than a magician who dances.

However magic-wise (and I sooo glad it was brief) it was not beautiful.
Why levitate and float something if it is not lovely.
Isn’t floating intrinsically about grace?

This Ball did not float it more zig-zagged (or is that another illusion.)
There was little magic or artistry to the performance,
but it did fit his overall act.

Was it deceptive, no… not very. Did it fit the moment? …Probably.
With chorography for the Ball as well thought out as it was for his dance?
Then, it could have been an interesting, even intriguing piece of magic,
and if it were all that, maybe then something innovative with the Ball.

Wonder what the judges perceived and how far he got in the show…

Magically,
Walt

Cracked me up, Walt! That comment reminded me of a comment in Ken Griffin's book about someone doing a human levitation going up and down to "boogie-woogie" music". Ha!

This guy confused me. At first I really thought I was watching a magic show... then it just was different... even without a segue. He's two, two... two performers in one! Thank God the ball came back... I thought the poor thing had been abandoned to float backstage forever.
