So this last week I was loading the New York Fireworks in an undisclosed location, we will just say it was a base in Staten Island visible from the Verrazano and it has NY's new Fire Boat parked at it. But each day as I sat on the bus we passed a building on the compound that had a strange Rocket shaped object behing it. Someone said they heard a story that some private investor purchased it from Coney Island before it was due to be destroyed. It looks like it might be the Astroland rocket, but it is slightly larger and all looked to be silver. Not Red, White, and Blue nor did it have Astroland anywhere on it. Unfortunetly I couldn't get close enough to get a picture.
Any thoughts? |

Nope, now that I look at more images of it and read more about it being removed, I am almost 100% sure that is the Astroland Ride. Maybe they are starting to refurbish it there.
