I have been keeping my eyes peeled. Alas I have not seen nor hide nor hair of it's release.
Emailed Chris a few weeks back with no reply. Does anyone have any inside scoop? Eric |

Very interesting, seeing as WWI soldiers sometimes come through at the seances....

Last time I spoke to Jim, it was the week of september 11th; the video had just been shot for the explanation, which was the final piece needed for release.
There is a video of my performance 'out there' - just waiting to get the footage from the Middlesbrough Circle of Magicians! Not the slickest piece I've ever done, but as I said, the look on the "sceptic's" (I use 1 believer and 1 sceptic on stage as the committee) was very rewarding at the final reveal of the information the 'believer' was apparently channelling. Agree, great shame it isn't out for All Hallows'... Steve

Luna: "An emotional empathic experience like no other in Mentalism"
Over 100 Luna books sold in the U.K. in the past 4 years Peter Nardi-The Fallen:A seriously strong piece of dark theatre!! I thought that's how we described Luna (4 years ago) Luna Entry: Case# 2813 Margaret Carrey Admitted: 20 August 1935 Age: 42 Reason: Hopelessness Classification: Despondent Disposition: Sadness, Morose I've been told Jim never heard of Luna, fair enough I guess. |

Yikes!
It only struck me as how similar they are once I'd thought about what I'd seen in the demo. I've got a lot of respect for White Star. But I'd be very interested to KNOW that the methods -- if not the substance of the effect -- are significantly different. David

David: you are on the mark...I posted under pennies about this...
I saw this at Doomsday and loved it, mentioned the parallels at the time. Look, there are mnay lateral applications of method. Luna is based on a great idea by Larry Becker (who has millions of great ideas) and was modified to fit our needs for the book. In Mindblasters I have a routine based on the idea of a 'loose leaf' book test, perhaps a dossier...the routine I develop there is a psychological test cards routine based on a method in Annemmann. The Fallen is a deck version of Luna modified to fit the War...it is perfectly possible for the parallel development of products...I just think some of the ad copy can be toned done... As I do not own a copy, I cannot comment on direct comparisons as Rick is doing above... |

Just to clarify...the idea for Luna came from Bill Cushman initially, but the method came from Becker...
Best wishes Dr Todd |
