just to let you know: if you like the Aronson stack or - even better - the Tamariz Stack, you will LOVE the new Phoenix Deck that will be released in August.

There is a built in secret in every new deck that will be great for every magician who uses the stack or want to learn it.

I'm very interested. I've already started using the Parlor Phoenix with the Tamariz stack, but if something better is in the pipeline, I'm in. If it's what I think it is, then I'm definitely going to get one (or 20).

The new Phoenix Deck run will not have the old standard Aces anymore, to open up three card positions that can be used for much better stuff.

A second Joker is provided, the Joker looks to the other direction than the first Joker, very beautiful for Sandwich effects.
A blank face card allows a lot of possibilities.

It took only a glance at the source code to find the hidden buttons, something I did with my own webpage years ago as well to let only "those in the know" have access to certain functions!

I'd strongly suggest to disguise the commands in the code, though, at least by altering the ALT tags!!

Do you think I should explain more details to magicians or shall I leave it that way so that it really looks like a game that you could play? (It should really work. )

No, don't explain more... everybody who knows at least a bit about MD work knows what is meant. Jan

I too think you should not explain more details but instead leave that to the books to be studied. It may even be counter productive for your customers if they might find that they do not need to study the books, Tamariz and Aronson respectively.

There is no replacement for study, learning and practicing. A cue sheet wouldn't help in real work anyway. As the work starts besides knowing where a card lies in starting position... and you should know far more than what's the next card Jan

The card provided with every deck has two reasons.

It should encourage everybody to learn a stack. If you remove the deck from the pack you can openly remove the card and place it aside (in full view) and have an out in case you forgot the stack. It is like taking secret notes into an exam. In most cases you won´t need it, but it will make you feel much more comfortable as you now can be sure that nothing serious could happen.

On the other hand the card can be used to introduce in instant stooge. All you have to tell him is to read the card at the number you will communicate to him in a certain way. Get creative and take advantages where possible. You never know...

I am interested in your ideas also, so please contact me if you come up with different approaches.

The new cards arrived today at Card-Shark USA, blue decks still be sold from the last run, red cards will be sold from the new run.
The decks for Germany are on their way, will arrive in about a week.

For a moment I actually thought that Phoenix deck would come with marked stack numbers on each card... Any mem deck worker would see the possibilities of this

So, are those "bingo" cards and jokers the only special things?

I think the bingo cards are the special thing. The face of the card that Card-Shark provided should be obvious to you if you use the Tamariz stack (I use it too), and I'm guessing the back is obvious if you're in the Aronson camp.

Yes I noticed that, but I didn't know if there was something else besides that.
