One of the last living 10-in-one performers. I wanted to be in show business the worst way, and that was it.

I never responded to this when it was first posted because I don't have any lecture notes. However, I decided I could respond and just leave that blank as I've seen others do.

YOUR favorite book on how to become a better perfomer (theory book): It's a really close race but I will have to say The Structural Conception of Magic (Ascanio). Though… Absolute Magic (Brown), Magic & Meaning (Burger), Strong Magic (Ortiz), Creating a Role (Stanislavski), Sanford Meisner on Acting (Meisner), How to Win Friends and Influence People (Carnegie) share a close second.
YOUR favorite card magic book: Difficult, but the most influential book for me the last ten years is without doubt Mnemonica (Tamariz) YOUR favorite magic book on close-up magic: Stars of Magic. Period. Or perhaps Magic From the Soul (Lavand). Or Sonata (Tamariz). YOUR favorite set of lecture notes: Too many to choose from here as well. Probably Harvey Allen Berg's notes that taught me the 8-K-stack when I was about ten years old (and almost didn't know any English!) YOUR favorite book/notes on coin magic: Modern Coin Magic (Bobo). This was impossible. Great topic, though!! |
