It is a great gimmick and with out giving it away it basically allows you to tear a corner off a card and WITHOUT switching it hand it to the spectator. As a matter of fact the spectator can, if directed properly, complete the last 10% of the tear removing it from the rest of the card.
The rest of the card can be destroyed any way you wish even by the spectator and then the "restored" card with a missing corner can be produced from anywhere your imagination can think of.Block of ice inside a bottle etc. Of course the missing corner held by the spectator matches perfectly.Remember the corner is not switched. I think it is VERY clever. Scott Imler |

Did David Copperfield use this gimmick on the Orient Express train???

It's clever, but a little cumbersome. I think the old way of doing the corner tear works just fine.

Pocket management is so important to me, that I have to limit what I carry and find ways to perform effects that reduce bulk.
Intercessor is beautifuly made, but for me it's a bit too much to carry/manage. That's just me.

This is a great device. If you are into card magic, you need this item.

It's definitely a great device, but I don't think you need it. It's not like IT. There are other ways to achieve the result of a Corner T***.

I have been using it since the first day I got it.
And I always have the volunteer do the final tear which in my opinion makes it much more believable. Sure there are other ways to produce the same effect and I have done a lot of em....but this is my favorite.

Wow thatnks alot guys for your feedback. This is one effect I always have liked. I like the idea of the intercessor, and I have decided to buy it.
One question though. Can you recommend a impromptu way of magically discarding the torn pieces so that I don't have to be seated at a table? I don't want to use a hank either or fire. Hopefully this trick comes with ideas already. What I really want to do is put the card with the missing corner in the deck, riffle the deck and then show the card is no longer in the deck by spreading or fanning thr deck showing it is clearly gone. David Copperfiled did that on the Orient Express train, but his finale was to have the card reappear outside of a window. I never saw him swith the torn piece and he may have used this gimmick, but I don't really know. |

One way to dispose of the pieces would be to make a pocket card.
I burn mine in a dove pan and then have it appear in any number of ways depending on the show I am doing and my mood when I do the setup.

MagicMaker,
The Intercessor is truly one of the best made gimmicks on the market. It's uses are limited only to the imagination. If you purchase this, PM me and I'll give you a method for getting rid of the torn pieces without trying to burn them. Michaels

This UTILITY GIMICK is amazing.
I LOVE mine it is so amazing. I just saw Dan Garret's method and I am definatly going to start doing it whenever I can have things set up, but I also carry the intercessor around along with a one way forcing deck(for dupes not force) and I am able to do this practically impromptue. |
