Happened upon these:

You are supposed to use them to stick notes to your refrigerator. It will look like you bolted them right in.

The pictues look like they are made from real bolts.

Those are very cool. I wonder if you could cut the head off another bolt, so you could have what appears to be a complete bolt. Then thread a borrowed ring on between two fender washers with a nut on the end. Under cover of a scarf you can very quickly release the ring, and switch the gaff set up for a duplicate set.
Could also be cool for impaling something like a signed card onto a board.

They could also put a scare into the neighbor with that fancy car.

There's already a great trick called Lightning Bolt that uses mag heads. A persons ring comes off a nut & bolt. The trick is so underrated because no one takes the time to work-out the moves but when you do, mouths drop. It's been out for 15 years.

Jay, are you referring to the Lightning Bolt from Marcelo Contento and Johnson Magic Products? I remember seeing an effect like that (multiple times) about 8 or 10 years ago now, but I cannot remember whose it was.

Still, at $5.99 for those refrigerator magnets, how can one go wrong?

Presto, I love your thinking!

I have two units somewhere in a drawer, behind some other stuff that I can't find either - so I can't look right now unless I move 20 boxes of stuff in front of the drawers which are blocked-in by the new book shelve that's loaded with 4000 books,

But I remember the packages either had yellow or orange paper and the effect is done out in the open BUT you have to work out your own switch at the end..... it makes good effect once mastered. People pick-up the bolt and twist it....... like they're going to discover something... (silly people)

I wondered because there was one that I have by that name which uses a nut a bolt with a hole drilled all the way through both, through which you thread a length of string. From there, the unit is covered/dropped into a bag/placed in a box/etc. and eventually the nut and bolt are removed from the string, and they are shown to be still threaded together. Of course, all is examined at the end.

Talking about this makes me think of the Brema Spirit Nut too...

That's not the same one as I'm thinking of however.

In the one I'm referring to: A borrowed ring is placed on a bolt then the nut spun all the way on and the ring escapes...... fast. The bolt is brass and about 5/8 in diameter being 2.75 long.

I think the threads have crossed, I can't tighten down. This is so fasten-ating!

Okay. I know which one you are talking about now.

"You are all nuts; gotta bolt; fasten-ating; threads are crossed;" LOL! These are great - and as bad as they are, they would work well in a routine! Kind of reminds me of the effect by Gregory Wilson called "It" - that one will get you going...
