Mauricio...thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them. It has been a pretty hectic opening day. I'm glad I changed into my GOOD clothes. Smile

The book "Pendulum Magic: A Guide For Mystery Performers" is on sale for another eight hours. It goes up to its regular price after that.

Café people are amazing.

I keep getting drawn back to David's site to look at one of his pendulums he has listed ! (Of course mine is there too !)
I am surprised the "Eye of the Dragon" ,has not sold out ?
If I would have not had "Nightmare" made for me...I think I would have got this one !
Something about her !

I just finished reading the book "Pendulum Magic: A Guide For Mystery Performers". What a great read! There are some very original ideas in there, which bring new life into the world of Pendulums. The book is full of wonderful routines. However for my style I love the "He sees you when you're sleeping" routine by TC Tahoe. There are plenty of different routines as well as some great tips for everyone. Excellent work everyone.

David, I think you might need to produce a Christmas Pendulum.....

Paul...what a great review!

I am SO interested in finding out what people think of Pendulum Magic. It's always difficult doing something for the first time...so that's what makes feedback so important.

Several people who have purchase the book have written PMs and emails to me -- which I appreciate. I sort of wish that they would post them here so others could find out about it as well.

To be clear: the plan for Pendulum Magic was never to provide a list of routines. It was to provide a jumping off point for performers who were new to pendulum use -- as well as those who are experienced...to ignite ideas in the reader's mind. I've always liked magic books that assumed the reader was intelligent enough to build great routines -- and didn't need to be led by the nose.

I look forward to hearing what others think as well.

But thank you Paul...great review.

Okay...tomorrow is the LAST day of our opening week.

I promised you folks fireworks. Until midnight TOMORROW -- every single thing -- every pendulum and even our eBook "Pendulum Magic: A Guide for Mystery Performers" -- is on sale. Some of the prices are less than it cost us to make the pendulums.

I've been looking for more reviews on this great resource...everything so far has been wildly positive -- and that makes me smile.

So...if you've had your eye on one of the pendulums, I think you might be pleasantly surprised at its current price.

I don't want this thread to be overly commercial...so after this it's going to be purely for reviews of the book (please send them!).

But since most of my friends come here -- I couldn't think of a better place to post updates.

Thank you to EVERYONE who came to the opening...thank you to everyone who purchased a pendulum or a book. The Café is an amazing place with amazing people.

David

PS: You have only a little over twelve hours to get your bid in on "Seer" -- our "thank-you-Rick-Maue-for-the-amazing-contributions-you-have-made-to-our-art" fundraiser. Our latest bid is $125.00...and I just KNOW there's someone out there who'll bid even higher...hint hint.

Thank you, Gerry! Very kind of you to say so.

Speaking of 'future offerings' we're just finalizing negotiations to have a couple of classic eBooks offered on our site as well. We're a breath from getting these now.

Do the names "Cassidy" and "Cushman" mean anything to you? Hmmmmm?

This is getting GOOD, huh?

I was perusing the Pendulums at 'Magic Pendulums' and 'bingo' it hit me....one of those cool Zodiac Wheel pendulums would be a perfect fit for my new 'Guest Birthday Magic Square/Day of the week for any date' routine. Thank-you for the great deal David, and nice work Sheree.

Happy trails.

Rich,

I am out the door but would love to get your routine...saw the one you mentioned and it is a handsome pendulum indeed.

Rich got the LAST Zodiac Wheel. But we've used the same wheel on two other designs at the bottom of the second page. I think we have two left -- but since everything's on sale, I'm just not sure WHAT there is from minute to minute.

Rich -- we're honored. Thank you!

Vic: Great idea about the Christmas pendulum. We're working on Halloween right now, though. Some very creepy things are about to appear. Smile

OK, I have to come clean. I'm one of the three purchasers of The Gypsy!

It arrived yesterday and is a stunning piece of work. When I saw the photo of the multi-colored glass bob I was immediately inspired how Gypsy and an aspect of work I associate with Jerome Finley can be blended together. His readers should know what I mean.

As pretty as the online photo is, Gypsy (the Acid Queen, she's quite trippy Smile) this pendulum is even more impressive in person. With the "plates" encasing the glass bob, the sun/moon holder with the Swavorski (sic) crystal just beneath and I couldn't be happier.

The bob shimmers in the light and has the perfect heft. Some people talk about having trouble getting participants to control the pendulum and one thing I've learned is that a bit of weight makes it much easier.

Now I really have to come clean. I'm the one who has Stonehenge on hold which will end tomorrow. If anything happens to me, please report my wife to the authorities. She will kill me if she finds out!

While attempting to free my Dark Promise pendulum from it's wire binding (David and Sheree go to lengths to present these in style) it drew blood from my thumb. The wicked, evil, beautiful thing! Oh, the horror...THE HORROR!

Andre...did you say "Hello" to your new pendulum before you tried ripping it out of its shelter? Did you do anything by way of greeting...or claiming her for your own??? HUH???

I rather think not. I expect you approached it like a Cossack approaches a Russian maiden after battle. (Sniff) Of course she bit you.

But you're blood bonded now -- and things should be fine.

I suspect "Nightmare" can be a problem child, for sure. But what can I say? The girl's got rhythm which you will no doubt notice when you unwrap her and she see's back in black, (although there IS that pesky little highway to H-E-double toothpicks thingie that can occur if you look too long into that black crystal before you really get to know each other. She's a special pendulum, Gary. It's not like you're giving the dog a bone, okay?)

Anyway when you first see her, I urge you NOT to say something like "What do you do for money, honey?" -- cause 'Nightmare' IS a lady...and if you hit it off right, you can count on her to shoot to thrill...cause that's what she does. Hopefully the postal service will shake a leg and get it into your hands. And you know what? When you finally get your 'Nightmare' please...have a drink on me.

David

Well David, because she is a Lady!...I have no plans for her to be used for any Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap !

For my participant about to Rock, in her hand...I Salute You !

I think with 'Nightmare',I will leave them Thunder Struck !
