Think I'll just give it all a pass (no pun intended this time).

After all else that has already been said on this topic. . . I will just bring up the rear. . .and say - Good luck Dan. As Annie used to sing, "The sun will come up tomorrow, bet your BOTTOM dollar that tomorrow. . .

Dan,
I know that you will be pleased to have this test BEHIND, so that you will no longer be the BUTT of all our mirth on the issue. As they say, history is nothing more than life in the REAR. . . It all reminds me of the story of the butcher who accidentally backed up to his meat grinder and got a little behind in his orders due to the mishap. I will put a TAIL on these comments by saying that if I ever have to have such a test. . .nobody on this forum will ever know about it Steve http://www.thedummyshoppe.com |

Talk about a thread taking some twists and turns - this one has gone from Wanlu asking about a headstick, to having fun with trying to nudge Philip into buying a figure, to making jokes about a test Dan is getting.
But I think that's one of the things I like about this forum, it reminds me of the very first vent list - anyone else here remember Rose Sage? In it's early days, it was relatively small, and while we of course talked about ventriloquism stuff, we also had fun making jokes and kidding around with each other. As the list grew, some were finding that annoying, and quite possibly, some here might feel the same way. Personally, I feel it adds to friendly nature of this little forum.

It does. I do magic, too, and that's how I first found this place...then was delighted to discover that there was a place for vent. Sometimes, in the magic forums, things get a little...intense. Or catty. Or, sometimes, a little bit mean. (And, please, I hope that this doesn't take this thread into comments regarding that proclivity) ...but things are always pretty sunny in here...and everybody seems to want to help everybody else. I appreciate that a lot.
As for the directions this particular thread has taken, let's remember that Dan's periscope party grows closer. As the cat said when her tail was caught as SHE backed into that very same meat grinder: "It won't be long now." -Philip |

Lets just hope for Dan's sake that the Surgeons remember that they are only there to perform a test and not an amputation

I saw it earlier, like Steve, I wasn't going there either.

It is not very often that I find myself at a complete lose for words, but that's where I am at this time. Or should I say, one more CRACK like that Philip and Dan is going to have to take the test twice )

Tick, tick, tick......
The alka-seltzer commercial comes to mind for some reason - "plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is...."

That rumbling you hear, Dan, is not thunder. Or, at least, not outside storm thunder.
