Has anyone used this table? What's the stability like? Would it be fairly stable on carpet? What about wind? If I use this as the main table in my act, I don't want to worry about it toppling over... |

I have and use it. It can fall over really easy.
don't buy one. Just my opinion.

Hi, Matthew.
To a certain extent, I agree with Neznarf. The table pictured looks unscrupulously wobble-able. However, I dug out Harbin's plans for this table last week, and built a version of it over the weekend as I wanted a table that would fold into my suitcase, and could be erected in seconds. It's far from being a masterpiece, but on the whole I'm rather happy with it. If you play around with the dimensions (Harbin didn't leave much in the way of figures), you can pretty much ensure a sturdy surface. It won't hold an elephant, of course. I admit, it was a bit of a pain to cut the wood, only using hand tools, but I think it was well worth it. If you'd like more information on how to build it, let me know! |

The Daytona version can and WILL topple. Sadly, it happened to me in the middle of a show. I most certainly would not use it as a main table. There are many others that are mmore sturdy.

And whatever you do, don't replace it with a Eureka table. What a piece of junk. No matter what I do, the top is crooked. After using it for awhile, the set screw that holds the table up came apart. I don't see how Eureka stays in business.
