I like this prop, and I think it would be perfect in my Recycle Show.
The question I have is since it is a gun, would schools and libraries frown on using this? |

The Pop Gun looks like a home-made gadget, and doesn't really seem to be a "gun". I guess it would be wise, if you're at all worried, to let your clients see a pic of the prop, so they can decide if they feel it's appropriate.
Personally, I think it's a very cool item, and my routine always gets a very good response. |

I saw it described as a "can"non.
That might get by.

In my show, I describe it as a cannon. Then I ask the audience "Do you know why I call it a cannon?"
"No," the audience replies. Proudly I respond, "Well, it's made out of cans." The line gets a laugh-groan from the crowd. I have never had a school, library or parent express any objections to the effect.

I refer to mine as a homemade silk launcher

I would not recommend it nowadays because of the horrific situations that happened recently. You will never know what will be going thru the minds of students/teachers/parents/principals. Of course it is the magician's choice.

I agree with Dynamike. I wouldn’t use anything that can even remotely be perceived as a weapon.
