This is my popcorn routine. It is vile and disgusting, yet I find it hilarious. I am posting it here because it is a mainstay in my show, "On The Midway". Tell me what you think.

Sensational!..would of been better if you had been wearing your "Carny" T-Shirt that Ross suggested, But then again the Knock-off Thurston poster more then made up for it...Without a doubt I can see that is the stellar Highlight of your Glorius Show "On the Midway"..Keep up the great work, its everything I expected and more...

I hope this don't get taken wrong like everyone seems to jump on. Iv'e seen a couple others do the popcorn trick. One was horrible and gave away the secret .The other was actually confronted on how it was done beforehand and he did it in a way the guy who confronted him was confused by it. I was a little confused by why you started using so many though. It really does look better when its simple. Have you ever considered trying to include using the ear as well. There's so many ways of getting it to work. Theres just not enough funny, amusing ear tricks.

Thanx, Curator, for the very kind words. I actually wanted to wear the Carny t-shirt, but it was in the laundry. Outlaw, the reason I do not do it in the ear is because the ears are not connected to the eyes, nose, and mouth (that I know of). I am going for realism here. But I do agree that there are not enough ear tricks out there!

They are connected you just have to perferate the ear drum to get the smallest thing through. Plus the audience usually doesn't know anatomy or what is even possible. Like on the munsters if herman ate hot food smoke came out his ears.

I don't think that magician's "get it". This is not meant to create a "magical moment of awe-inspiring astonishment". It is meant to make people cringe, and god-willing, get sick. I think that may be why the sideshow guys are enjoying this, and the magician's are not.
Outlaw, I understand what you are saying. But when people saw smoke pour out of Herman's ears, they knew it was fake. I love and am dedicated to the sideshow. However, I am not so dedicated that I am going to perferate my ear drum to do a trick. And I do not expect audiences to believe that I have. David |

People believed Criss Angel levitated over the Luxor though. So you never know.

I am working on a line to use at the end of the routine, and maybe y'all can help with the exact wording. I want to say something like, "What makes this really dangerous is that if the inside of my head gets too hot, the kernal could pop and my head would explode!" |

For some things, no words are necessary. You don't have to say a thing, as long as your actions are clearly defined.

I'd simplify it.
"Some things, you just don't have to talk about." or "Why?", shrug and shake your head.

That is a great suggestion, Harley. I especially like, "Why?".
