Hi,
I am moving back to Asia very soon, and want to buy some things for my magic before I go. I want the best or most needed items that I can use. I am taking so far....cards, Invisible deck, thimb tip, thumb writer, cup and balls. Any other suggestions of most needed props or tricks? |

Everything here is probably available in Asia via the internet (although not always the legal version).
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Get a lot of bicycle cards.. get the vanishing cane/appearing cane here if you are into stage magic. they have crap quality in Asia.
You have to first believe in magic in order to move others' hearts -

I recommend buying "Slow Motion Bill Transposition." It will show you how to make a bill change before your audiences' eyes and you can use any type of currency.

All of these are great choices. Versatility is the key isn't it? You want to carry as little as possible and get the most out of it.
#1 is DEFINATELY the Tarbell Course in Magic. Ship it ahead at book rate and it will be there about a week after you get unpacked. #2 is cards and coins because they can fit in the pockets of your carry on. #3 is anythihng that "packs small / plays big" like appearing canes, vanishing canes and ANYTHING from Creative Magic if you can get your hands on it. #4 (and probably really #1) is your computer. You want to stay on Magic Café for a constant opportunity to gain new insights and learn new ideas. That's my 2 cents worth, but it may not be worth that much... |

I suggest buying as many cards as you can. The good quality cards are quite expensive.
