Hello everyone, I hope I'm in the right section and sorry if there is already a post about this, I just couldn't find it !

Anyway. I am looking for fireworks suitable for stage, using a system that gets triggered by the foot of the performer, like a button to step on.
I would like to have maybe confetti shooters, loud BANG noises or quick and big bursts of sparkles. The kind of thing you would like to use to punctuate a stage show.

All this is all new to me so...
Range of prices for such devices ?
Where to get them ?
Do you have some preferences, some brands ?
Types of theaters/scenes to avoid ?
Unpredictable security measures, law restrictions etc... ?

I am building a whole show for the beginning of december and I thought about adding some visual effects.

Thanks a lot for the time & help and forgive me if I didn't see any post on the subject... that was right under my nose.

Your friend Louis.

I have several kinds of confetti launchers, etc., but I am by no means an expert. When Great White's pyro burned down a Rhode Island nightclub and killed about a hundred people, though, I think the future of "everyman pyro" changed forever.

The safest type of stage fireworks is probably the CO2 launcher. Similar things that use flash paper, cotton, etc., now require licenses and permits.

Look up info on Confetti and Streamer Effects, in their cybershop.

Also, find some pros to consult with.

In this country and most others, indoor fireworks or pyro must be used by licensed personnel. There are three classes in this country and all require inspection by a fire marshall in every venue before use.

CO2 launchers are the best and most economical way to go.

Talk to some of the theater people in your area and what the requirements are in your area.

Thanks a lot for all this useful info !

I think I'm going to give a try to a CO2 confetti shooter but I can't find an automatic device with these requirements :

-triggered by foot on the floor
-"cartridges" and device not exceeding twenty inches
-dark-coloured to be visually discreet.

Any ideas ?

I'm still searching though.

Thanks again for the advices !

This is the first thing I found in a quick Google search:

http://www.aerotechnic.com/store/index.p......ts_id=29

It uses a footswitch. I have a similar one with the box that holds the CO2 cartridges on a separate base.
