In The Wizards' Journal #7 I showed some of the results of our experiments with using inflatable lawn decorations as stage illusions, particularly an inflatable Christmas Tree and a huge Gingerbread House. Talk about packs small and plays big! Go shopping at Home Depot and K-Mart to see what's new in lawn decorations and you may come up with a new feature. In a few years, if you pack it away carefully every season, it will be the only one of its kind since these things change every year.

No need to go to home depot or lowes as I have the largest christmas displays in my town complete with music and light show and over a dozen inflatables. including an 8ft snow globe and a 25ft train with pop up elves moving and a 16' santa! its out of control. but I want more!!
I use some of the blow ups as stage decorations they look great. maybe I can incorporate and illusion into one of the blow ups. I will think about it but as of right now not sure I am gonna invest much into this years christmas shows in way of "christmas" tricks. maybe next year.

In that case you are all set. Vanish a member of the audience and have them appear inside a giant snow globe. Great illusion, if you have some cooperating kids.

Great idea Spellbinder.
This illusion should be the blockbuster effect just before the snowstorm ending in the whole house, while shaking the snow globe around the stage. lol Oliver. |

I have two unique holiday effects that I have recently released. One is called "Santa's Suits" and basically it uses three specially designed magic coloring books. The routine is a "Three Coloring Book Monte" Effect that pits a kid (who always wins) against an adult. I have three other children holding the books and instead of mixing the books, I mix the kids.
My other new effect is called "New Wave" and it is a mentalism routine for kids. Kids do not understand mentalism but they do understand guessing. If anyone is interested PM me for details. Thanks-- -Dal
