I appreciate the thought put into the movement and I think it looks great, but now that I thought about it for a while, I think that I would prefer the faster movement. I thought the idea was that the doll was supposed to move into place while the spec was distracted by the arm, so they shouldn't even see the doll move. Having the doll move slow means more time that I have to distract the spec and takes a way the option to use the prop as a scary "jack in the box" if I prefer. Any chance to have the speed adjusted to fast for my order Rick. Or maybe for an extra charge you could have two speeds, fast for the actual routine and for the quick scare, then the current speed for more of a "animatronic look at this" effect when you actually want people to see the doll move. I do not mind waiting. What does every one else think?

While the spec's are distracted by the arm presentation, (BTW you may have several people view the box first) the doll will be in the window when you are ready. That is one presentation.
While showing the arm to the specs and explaining what you believe to be the "story" I would say at least 5-10 minutes will go by before you want her in the window. The "organic" movement also allows for a visual presentation of the doll creeping up into the window. This is best done when the spec's are looking and you are not aware that "anything is happening" . The quick pop up into the window was not scary, it kind of turned it into a "gag" box. I thought it would be scary, but it was more like a quick fun house effect than a truly creepy effect. |

Roth, I agree 100%.
I think that the slow "peeping" is far more sinister than a quick peek-a-boo. It's furtive and quite unsettling. In other words, it works for me |

So I had this dream last night that I'm sitting in a room, looking at this creepy wooden crate and all of a sudden I start seeing something through the window. At first I'm not sure what it is. But then -- all of a sudden this Uber Creepy doll is peeking out at me and...oh...wait.
I guess it wasn't a dream. David

I do like the slow movement, very creepy. Nice.
I only wish the doll's face was a bit more freaky. |

She is an alluring little creature..... Lillian’s doll I hear, some say lost in the fire, jealous of William or what did Hobbs try and conceal?

I really think you should have the doll's eyes blink and/or her lips move with words coming out, but not until the very end.
(I'm sorry if this idea doesn't fit in with the routine you designed this for.) CM
