I'm considering trying this routine ... has anyone ever here that already does it had a problem with the spectator getting upset or feeling made fun of? (that's not really my style)

The trick itself has little to do with how they feel, it all depends on how you treat them.

I have seen it done and it is a killer. Simon Coronel is the one... and he has a different presentation that plays incredible strong.

Ben,

Steve Bedwell has done a masterly job in constructing this routine such that the spectator gets to share the applause for getting the phases of the routine to work. At no point do they feel, or are they even aware, that they are not in on what the audience in on. They simple think they are participating with the magic and getting the appreciation of the audience for doing so.

Quite simply a brilliant bit of routining.
