I received it today and play with it a hour.
Wow, it is really beautiful and works almost 100%. One gimmick broke. I think it was my fault. |

Didn't show up here today either.
There is ZERO chance that Peter's units were sent out last Thursday. Here in Phoenix I get mail from California in 2 days maximum. Anyway, nothing we can do but wait impatiently Bowers

If you want the selected card to pop out far, give a tap in corner of cuted portion of the deck, like in Static, it will pop out beautifully.

Hi All
Well my Haunted arrived yesterday and I hope you won't mind if I do a review. It's my first on the Café so I hope it's OK Effect A deck of card is introduced. The spectator freely selects a card and signs it. The card is returned to the middle of the deck which is then isolated. After a number of seconds the deck begins to move and cuts itself at the chosen card. What you get • A well produced DvD • Two gimmicks (one to use and one spare) • Materials to repair the gimmicks or to make your own • Materials to disguise the gimmicks so that they can be easily added to and removed from the deck • Something to delay the time before the movement starts. What’s new? I certainly haven’t seen all the various methods for performing the Haunted Deck. What Peter’s version brings is a natural and clean method to add and remove the gimmick to and from the deck. Pluses and minuses Plus points: The deck can be freely handled before and after. The “Haunting” can be done with the deck completely isolated. The effect is self contained and the deck can be used before or after for anything you want to The gimmick is well disguised and the method of adding and removing it from the deck requires no palming or skill. Minus points and niggles: The Haunting isn’t under your direct control and the timing of the movement will vary from performance to performance The return to the deck is not as natural as it might be Other points of clarification: You can’t do this with a borrowed deck because it’s not a “universal” gimmick. The gimmick has to be made for the deck you are using. Those supplied are for Red Bikes although I am told that Murphys have a version for Red Mandolins. You get the materials to make or repair gimmicks but no information on how to get further supplies of the “something” that makes it work. The other materials required can be obtained relatively easily from dealers or on the web. I’ve made up a couple of extra gimmicks which can be fiddly but is straightforward to do with the materials supplied. Conclusion: A good solid version of the Haunted Deck effect with some strong plus points. The packaging says “use your own deck” but I wish dealers would specify when a card effect is designed for a particular brand of deck. If you don’t have a version of the Haunted deck this is well worth trying but there are other versions out there that will be equally good or stronger. Mike |

I would point out you can use any poker size deck with the gimmick provided, the demos I posted were using a red gimmick in a blue deck.
You do have an examination issue if the colour does not match but even that could be overcome somewhat. The ideal solution is just to make a gimmick in the brand and size you like, they only take a few minutes but as they come will get you up and running to practice etc.

Hello Everyone
Following my handling of Haunted I posted a day or two ago I'm pleased to announce that all purchasers of Haunted will shortly have access to the details of my handling to make the card come from the pack using the standard Haunted gimmick provided. The handling will also include a few tips I have found to make the performance easier and more reliable. I can't thank Peter enough for coming up with the original handling which enabled me to take it that one step further. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRbQGhCV0Mo Click the above to see my handling showing it push the card out 5 times in a row. The 75% working I mention has now improved now I actually understand what's happening during the performance.

Just tried it on my wife with her holding the deck - after the 'haunt', I moved the top portion a fraction and the selection went spinning out of the deck to land on the floor. The reaction was priceless...

Can I just ask if anybody in the UK is having the same difficulty finding supplies of S****h-U*, which I'll eventually need?
Nowhere seems to sell the stuff! Anybody have any ideas on this?

The reason orders from Peter apparently are taking so long (mine still hasn't arrived) is that they were sent from the Netherlands - not from the USA. I guess I thought that our orders were coming from USA.
Peter has been super about PM'ing me and updates, so again I impatiently await and appreciate Peter's responsiveness.
