Hi, I've been looking everywhere for a red opaque silk for expansion of textue, does anyone know where to get one? Also, I want to learn a good gimmick free 3 fly routine. Can anyone tell me a good book or video that teaches it? Thanks a lot!

Probably the best value for a good solid 3 fly at the lowest price is Paul Wilson's Crowded Coins which can be had for $10 in .pdf format by clicking Here.
I have a review of the manuscript HERE. If you are looking for an opaque silk, you may want to try a mens store that sells suits. Often they will have opaque men's handkerchiefs. |

Scarves can be found in the woman's section of department stores.
As to 'three fly'... the version pulished by Chris Kenner is ungimicked... as was the original, and most of the later versions. The gaffed versions have some quite magical advantages to offer. All in all it depends on what you want to show the audience, and your performing style.

Pocket squares at men stores are too small. Take Jon's advice and go to a womens store.

A word of caution, if you are hanging out in the womens section of a department store don't try to do any magic tricks....sidling up to them and offering to show them something amazing may just get you arrested

Is there some reason folks don't use borrowed scarves? It seems a bit odd to simply take a woman's item from one's case. Not a Liberace wannabe here.

If I'm hanging out with some friends and decide to perform a few miracles, pulling out a woman's scarf will definitely be odd. However, if, in the middle of a formal show you take out your mother's old scarf...well, it's not as bad. I think it's all a matter of justification. -Jim And who knows...there may be some Liberace wannabes here...

Well just because you get a scarf from the womans sections of the store does not mean it has to be pink.LOL You could get dark blue, red, and so on. Most of the time you will find scarves next to the bag section.
A good non gimmicked 3fly would be two sources, POS 1, and Reeds Coin Patriot. I have combined these two 3fly to make the best of the two. Brad

"I once found a woman's scarf in an alley....I picked it up and I'll be ***ed if a golden coin didn't fall out of it....and then another, and another and another....but when I looked in my hand they had all changed into worthless bronze coins...Is there a lesson in this...perhaps.....or maybe I just imagined the coins alltogether"

I have a very nice Men's neck scarf, the kind like British tie around their neck instead of a four in hand necktie. Dark red w/paisley design. Check the better stores.

Hannibal Lecter, the mindreading psycho could pull out a woman's scarf, sniff it....lick it... have some revolting comments and than push some coins thru while referring to your mother's first time...
