Hahah it funny all you bash expertmagic but when this people get over the expertmagic factor everyone will be a talking about it.
Ps Usa you must not read your own post you ask where made negitive comments. "I wager MELT that this one will end up in "most disappointing purchase" thread within next two weeks. And guess what... I don't even have MELT!" Cant get more negitive then that. Also instead of having such a closed mind why not check out the reviews of 2 respected Café members. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......9&22 http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......09&5 |

Holy ****!! This is AWESOME. I just bought this last night, and watched the video. The od is awesome, and perfectly explained by Eric James, so you can make some of these gimmick cards easily, and probably in about 5-10 minutes. This is seriously a great buy. It's a long video, (actually videos, 7 quicktime files), and covers everything. Construction of the card, simple performance, complex performance, and a full restoration that's possible. This is seriously a great trick, and a concept I've never seen before. I recommend this for a beginner, and for the more advanced guys. The simple routine can be done, as is mentioned on the video, if you can fold a card. The complex handling shouldn't give you too much trouble with a bit of practice either. You guys should all buy this, it's awesome.
Ian edit: Great customer support too! I couldn't get the download from the expertmagic download page, emailed Eric James, and he literally set up another place for me to download from... within about 30 minutes I had the trick saved. |

I think most people will be more critical of his stuff more then other creators because of his past released items. I am sure many creators have had a few bad "mistakes" attached to their name as well. Maybe this will be the one that everyone will like and use. Time will tell. Just my 2 cents worth. Chris |

Well I really didn't want to get into this but since those have brought it up...
I will for sure not apoligize for melt.I have used this for many many years and has always done well for me. When you work at something for many years and have the guts to put it out there then come and talk to me. Many that just know me from Melt don't know me and those that do, know my reputation and the hard work I put into magic. With this said...just get over it. I also want to make clear this isn't my effect and that Nash (as known on here) is the creator. |

Melt was a ripoff of Jeff Stewart and Meir Yedid's Now U C It.....

Harry Murphy on the staff states that "Now-U-It" is the exact same thing as "Mellon's Miracle Money" from 1950 except is uses metal instead of plastic like Now-U-It.

I claim to thought of not invented.
I was 14 when I thought of this idea which was about 16 years ago. Also as has been said by older post before Melt was released the Expert Magic company talked to Meir Yedid. Anyways as mention both use a method that older than most of us. |

Re: Expert Magic Reputation.
For some reason people think that our only products are Melt and Coin Matrix 2003. First of all these are not bad effects in my opinion or I would not have released them. Melt works great for me and many others, and as stated way to many times we did talk to meir about melt and he had no problems with us releasing the effect. I see no reason other than the gimmick issues that Melt or Michal Mystic should have a bad reputation. As for Coin Matrix 2003.. I hate how some many of us automatically hate anything that uses BA even though it is one of the greatest tools we have available. That is why it was advertised the way it was. I realize my mistake but I would not take back the fact that I released it. You may notice that it is not in the store currently. This is because we are reshooting, redoing everything so that people we see it for what it is. A wonderful piece of magic. We will be doing the same with melt in the future. For those of you at the latest FISM you should know that several guys used BA in their close-up routines. Should they now have a bad rep too? For another perspective of the GOOD parts about Coin Matrix please see this review: http://www.online-visions.com/reviews/0402coinmatrix.html So that takes care of Melt and Matrix 2 out of our 6 products. What about the rest? Are the majority of our well received/reviewed products forgotten? Flourishing DVD by Cap Casino: http://www.expertmagic.com/html/store/c4/c4.html Color Fusion by Nash Fung: http://www.expertmagic.com/html/store/colorfusion/cf.html Case Discoveries by Nathan Newman: http://www.expertmagic.com/html/store/cased/case.html Real Floating Card by Alex Markov: http://www.expertmagic.com/html/store/real/real.html For Being around for little over 1 year I think we have some great great products and a reputation on the café that does not fit what I think it should. I realize wounds take time to heal but I will prove to all of you that Expert Magic is a great company and we will continue to bring you great new products at the same level or higher than Color Fusion. Thanks for your time, Eric James |

Eric it takes a long tome for people to forget ones they don't like so hopefully ColorFusion will make people forget about Melt and Matix 2003. Good luck.

Hi,
I'll start by saying that I DO have a business interest in this as we will be stocking the DVD version of Color Fusion. Feel free to ignore the rest of the posting if you think my view is unreasonably biased because of this. I really think it's time that you guys laid off of ExpertMagic. This is a posting about their new effect, and whilst their previous releases are a factor in this, surely they deserve a break now? Ok, so their previous offerings may not be to the liking of everyone, but there are plenty of other magic manufacturers who this also applies to. Without mentioning any names, there is one company who immediately spring to mind who are responsible for some of the most appalling products ever released to the magic community. Yet, when they release something new, it can still be reviewed and commented on objectively. Some people do find EM's other items restrictive, but there are also many who find them effective. We have stocked "Melt", "REAL Floating Card" and "Coin Matrix 2003" for many months, and have received both positive and negative feedback on all of them. Another thing that seems contradictory is the fact that some people here complain about "Melt" because of its restrictions, others because they believe it is a rip-off of a Meir Yedid product. If the latter is true, surely these forums should be awash with derogatory comments about Mr.Yedid too, as surely his product has the same limitations? When sensible, objective reviews have been posted about "Color Fusion", I have yet to read anything negative about this effect. If this was released by any other manufacturer, I'm sure everyone here would not hesitate in praising them - surely it's time to give ExpertMagic a break and do the same for them. Like I say, I admit to being biased on this, but I would certainly like to see the return of sensible discussion on this product. Regards Carl Fraser MagicTricks.co.uk |

If it's ok for EM to continue to sell a rip-off product like Melt then surely it would be okay for someone like Penguin Magic (who ripped off Cornelius Bendable Pen) to start selling their own copies of Color Fusion? Just a thought. Not that I believe two wrongs make a right, just that there should be a level playing field.
I reckon half the problem with EM might be due to their diabolical treatment of cutomers. When I criticised an effect of theirs I had all after-sales support and access to their forums removed! Another problem with EM is their name. After all, when a company is called EXPERT magic then you expect something more than I ever got from buying their products... Anyhow, CF does look good in the video...but I'm happy to never know for sure. |
