A friend of mine had a skeleton like that in the late 60s, Dave Kornelly and I believe he said it was an old Vaudeville idea. Fun.

My backwards show would start with me taking candy away from all the kids.

Hi Kevin,
I am trying to make my own equipment where possible. Yes, that cart design is very helpful! The angles are quite good. You must have a hidden area to roll out from, that is a limitation for some shows. If there is room I like to come out and cut a few donuts to show all sides of the box, this space was too tight for that. The box can be filled with stuff, and the cart acts as a dolly for other pieces of equipment, so it's not really that impractical. With a few minutes of practice you can produce the Birthday child in their own show, although I don't like the exposure. |

Just have to say, Tommy James stuff is 110%! Can't wait to get the new wand! His measle wand IS a show! I finally stop after 5 minutes of LOUD laughs because I am tired. The kids want MORE!!
Also, sure, VB is simple but not easy. You MUST sell it and the kids or adults have always loved it in my shows. I don't always perform it but when I do I ALWAYS get a great reaction.

Hi Mark,
This was my design. I ruined a prototype before figuring it out, but it's not that hard. There are some nice features, like the air vent on the lid. Keeps kids conscious longer. If anyone wants dimensions or pictures just PM me, or maybe I can put them in the secret session. Best |

Hi Bill,
Your idea to make the kid appear out of the box is great. I wonder how you get to manage that the kid won't say a word. ^^ Your prop is very nice build and it looks awesome, but... I think you should add the second trunk, to make a double tip over box. This will give you a better angle view, making the illusion perfect. Great work anyway. Congratulations !!! Oliver. |

Hi Oliver, that cart is my idea for the angle problem. The height of the cart lets me use my body on one side, and the handle protects the other side. This version can't be done surrounded, but people behind the stage don't see much magic with a double trunk either.
