Harper is working to change compulsory ed or is he working to make compulsory ed less dumbed down? I'd be interested to know--I don't get to hear much about the ed policy discussions in Canada.

If it's about some campaign to end compulsory education, it would be a first by the head of a Western country as far as I know. Having grown up with the bucolic words of AS Neill's SummerHill in my teenage head, I always wondered about a system that would provide non-compulsory education.
