I have done some reading on Tesla, if nothing else I can at least recommend some books for you to check out. If you PM what your thoughts are, I can maybe help you out some with your routine.

I once saw a very interesting and entertaining TV documentary about the controverse between Tesla an Edison about AC or DC current.
Try a search on the internet and your local library. Troels |

Trolle is right on. Google away and see what you find. A years ago a movie about magic starring Hugh Jackman, The Pestige, predominantly featured Tesla!

There is at least one company that will sell you coins that have been shrunken using huge amounts of electricity. One of these shrunken coins might help spin a tale of Tesla.

The Prestige was Fun...Which one is Me? Which cat where? The Tesla premise is perfect.
Last night I was moving baby blankets from one room to another and when I pulled them apart static, cool thing...I was next to a lamp with one of those new spiral bulbs and it lit up albeit a short flashing occurs. This is something akin to Tesla's idea of free energy. The Tesla coil allows for charged free energy to transmitted through the atmosphere to a receiver...ie light bulb, radio...etc which is grounded. The receiver is powered by the transmitted energy. This reminded me of the 80's when I lived in Cali. I used to frequent the street of Hollywood and LA, Sunset, Malibu. People, If any of you live in the Hollywood Hills area in Cali or anywhere within driving distance, you should go to Griffith Park Observatory and see the Tesla coil they have and watch the demo. Back in 1981 I pushed the button on the wall thinking it was another interactive demo, powering up the Tesla Coil. I created quite a stir at the time. They did an impromtu demo, and I got to hold onto all sorts of electrical light bulbs incandescent and florescent having them light in my hands with no power source attached. Quite fun at the time. |

Nice, I'm about a mile from the observatory. I haven't seen the coil powered up before! I have to do that.

Maybe you could explain how Tesla wanted to transmit power wirelessly invisibly through the air but something happend when he was experimenting as an introduction or lead into your effect. This Idea of tranmitting power this way was of course determined to be impractical and his backers pulled out because there was no way to profit from this (bill poeple for what they used.) Tesla was backed financially by Westinghouse and JP Morgan' You could also mention how this genius that touches our lives everyday in many ways died penniless. Tesla Man out of time is a excellent book on his life and acheievments.
Jonathan's and Critter's posts made me think of a Tesla type Miser's dream. |

I liked the movie the Prestige as well. You might be able to refer to the movie as a pretense for teleporting an object.
