Ancient Knowledge: Levitation
http://blog.hallofthegods.org/2010/03/an......ion.html

In almost every culture where megaliths exist a legend also exists that the huge stones were moved by acoustic means - either by the chanted spells of magicians, by song, by striking with a magic wand or rod (to produce acoustic resonance) or by musical instruments.

But there is an intriguing passage in a history text by the 10th century Arab historian, Abul Hasan Ali Al-Masudi, known as the Herodotus of the Arabs. Al-Masudi had traveled much of the known world in his day before settling in Egypt, and he had written a 30-volume history of the world. He too was struck by the magnificence of the Egyptian pyramids and wrote about how their great stone blocks were transported. First, he said, a "magic papyrus" (paper) was placed under the stone to be moved. Then the stone was struck with a metal rod that caused the stone to levitate and move along a path paved with stones and fenced on either side by metal poles. The stone would travel along the path, wrote Al-Masudi, for a distance of about 50 meters and then settle to the ground. The process would then be repeated until the builders had the stone where they wanted it.

I would like to see film of this/these methods actually lifting and moving a huge stone.

I won't be holding my breath, though.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

I remember seeing a TV show “In Search Of, with Lenard Nimoy, in which they said a small man in Florida made a castle of coral using this technology...

Yep, I was always amazed at that episode of "In Search Of" from years ago. I forgot about it over the years, and then it took me ages to remember / discover where the castle was. There was also mention of Coral Castle in the first post (the amazing abilities link).

A number of years ago, I saw a guy on discovery channel move a whole building using simple levers. Impressive in its ease.

There was a paper recently on Rapa Nui, which showed how a very small number of people could more or less easily move the Moai by rocking them gently. No levitation apparently needed.

I can levitate stones using a mystic chant, but I need a little time to prepare, and some additional materials which I won't divulge outside of the secret area of these forums.

And no, you may not inspect the stones afterwards.

This acoustic levitation stuff is neat. I wonder how big they have managed to scale it up, in laboratory conditions?

"Dr. Jarl describes seeing the monks levitating large stones during his visit. One day Dr. Jarl was taken to a sloping meadow that was surrounded in the northwest by high rock cliffs. On the rock wall at a height of about 250 metres was an entrance to a cave in front of which was a platform used by monks who were building a rock wall. The monks accessed this platform from the top of the cliff by lowering themselves down with ropes.

About 250 meters from the base of the cliff, in the middle of the meadow, was a polished slab of rock with a bowl like cavity in the center. This bowl, which measured one meter in diameter and 15 centimeters deep, served as a launching pad to hurl stones up to the monks who were building the wall. At 63 meters from the launching pad, set in a 90-degree arc, were musical instruments consisting of thirteen drums and six trumpets. Behind each instrument was a row of four monks.

A large block of stone was maneuvered into place onto the launching pad by yak. Once the stone was properly positioned the monks sounded a cacophony of drums and trumpets. All the monks sang and chanted an accompanying prayer. They slowly increased their tempo and after about four minutes the big stone block began to rock and sway. Then suddenly it took off into the air with an increasing speed until it alighted gently onto the platform in front of the cave. The entire parabolic flight path of the stone was about 500 meters long and 250 meters high and took three minutes to complete. The monks were able to continue transporting large stones like this at the rate of about five to six per hour. For a detailed account of the Tibetan levitation of large stones please visit Tibetan Sound Levitation of Large Stones Witnessed by Scientist.

Dr. Jarl made two films of this procedure of raising stones. However, the English Scientific Society for which Dr. Jarl was working confiscated the two films and declared them classified until some future date when they will be released."

Come on, guys! You don't really take any of that seriously, do you?

FWIW, according to one of the sites, the film Dr. Jarl allegedly took was scheduled to be released in 1990.

I once saw a little girl in Kansas move a whole house using nothing but a tornado. Even precision parked it right on top of a witch.
