Is your soft puppet in need of some repairs? If so...worry no more! The Soft Puppet Clinic is now open.
Send us photos of your puppets and the problem you have with it and we will take care of it at a very minimal price. Of course, if the problem is too big, we might suggest you get a new one but if the problem is manageable, we will take care of it. Performing ventriloquists will test if your puppet is fit to perform before we send it back to you. I will post some pictures soon of a puppet that we repaired...

Excellent idea Wnalu, I am certain your repairs will be as professional looking as your masks.
At first the idea of sending a beloved puppet out of the country may be unnerving; however you have demonstrated that it’s not an issue by safely sending masks all over the world and receiving fragile hard figures from other countries. The value of sending a damaged soft puppet to you for repair is significant, since I believe the vent community is in need of a professional working Ventriloquist that understands the problems encountered while manipulating a puppet. Offhand I can’t think of any company that has your experience now providing this valuable service. I wish you all the success. |

This is really not a business for us but we just want to extend some help. Again, if the problem is manageable, we will try to take care of it. Thanks again Wanlu

Wanlu;
I am very interested in seeing the photos of your repair on the mistakes made making your boxing figure |

Hi Buzz...who said anything about a boxer figure?
But since you mentioned it... it might be a good idea to show what we can do using that particular puppet as an example. The head was too big for proper puppet manipulation, working vents would know what I mean. Anyway, let me work on it... Thanks Wanlu

I am also interested in seeing the CHANGES made to your Manny puppet. I thank Buzz for now referring to them as changes rather than mistakes or repairs since there were no mistakes nor had anything broken to need repair.
I hope that if the head is downsized the eyes will not end up in the forehead or the mouth down in the neck. Steve thedummyshoppe.com |

I don't know if its a cultural difference again but in my country, if something cant be used for its purpose, it is repaired.
You will see some pictures soon. It would have been much nicer if you did the work because he is your creation.

Our clinic  is available to those who have soft puppets that need any kind of repairs that will fit their performance style. For example, a puppet's neck is too thight or maybe the legs need to be longer or maybe the arms need to be longer or mqybe the head is too big.
For a minimal fee only... otherwise,it would be more practical to buy a new one. Just an example. A $130 Axtell parrot. If you want a longer or shorter body, we might charge you $50 then shipping is probably $100. Then this is not practical and more of stupid. We will tell you to just get a new one from Axtell and just specify a smaller or bigger body. But as another example. You bought a $1100 puppet and when you got it,the head is rather too big for proper manipulation and the maker wants $500 plus $100 shipping for a total of $600 more, then it might just be practical to send it to us for a $100 repair plus $100 shiipping for a total of only $200. Again, the figures are just example. However, I Â can only try to be honest when I say that just like any medical procedure (so to speak) there will be risks. It might end up not exactly as you wanted. But as I have said, we will always try to be honest and tell you what we think is a more practical option.

We managed to remove a lot of foam to make the circumference of the head much smaller and the head much lighter.
Let me try him a few times in my gigs and I'll let you all know if there is an improvement in manipulation. So far in practice, he is much easier to handle now. http://www.facebook.com/wanlulunaria#!/m......7&type=1 Wanlu

I tried the repaired puppet twice already and despite the fact that we managed to remove a lot of foam to make the head much smaller, I am still having some difficulties in manipulation. Planning to make further adjustments. The strap that holds the thumb to make the jaw move makes my thumb sore.
Need to make this puppet work... so my baggage for air travels will be lighter.

Dan,
looks like the forehead is SLIGHTLY smaller, that all that I SEE. |

The forehead is much smaller now as well as the back of the head... generally, the circumference of the entire head is much smaller.
Tried it twice already in an actual gigs but its still giving me problems... however, I badly need this for air travels so I really need to make it work. Perhaps more time in practice.
