Sad. However, I have seen worse at the local club meeting from seasoned "magicians".
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

The funniest part was how he corrected her on his name at the end. If I were him, after that debacle, I would have been THANKFUL that she got my name completely wrong. There's no way I'd want my real name associated with that performance!

As any viewer of “American Idol” and similar programs might know, when bad singers audition, it makes for a wonderful guilty pleasure.
Same with bad dancers. But watching a bad magic simply makes one cringe. There is not a particle of entertainment value; one can imagine this video being used in interrogations to force confessions out of resolute criminals. I take no pleasure in writing such an indictment.
"Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
"To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time." "The dog did nothing in the night-time." "That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes. |

I watched it til the end thinking, maybe he is a comedian and not a magician. I was wrong, nothing funny there. Maybe she booked someone else and that is why she kept calling him by the wrong name. He may have been a stand-in? One can hope...At least one kid had fun.

EEEeeaaarghhhhhurrrgh. I just cringed so hard I turned myself inside-out twice. Poor guy. Poor audience. This is like every magician's nightmare. Nothing is set up. You've forgotten your material. You've forgotten how everything works. On the credit side, he actually got up and performed, he did at least realize when things went wrong, he carried on, and he did actually get a couple of laughs. He wasn't creepy or scary, he didn't freak the kids out, no-one got hurt and no-one was insulted or upset.
Although I guess that if the best you can say is "the audience escaped without injury", then maybe it's time to hang up your bunny-hat. |

My favorite line was at the beginning when he says: "Im not used to performing for kids. I usually perform for adults"
hahaha really? Then why do you have all the kids magic, the funny coat, and hat? Anyway. I know I have had some shows like this where nothing went right and when you walk off stage you just want to crawl into a hole and never come out. The difference here is that I didn't stick it up on youtube! |
