Michael Mosher of Wack-O Innovative Magic is releasing a second edition of his sell-out dancing canes, a huge hit a few years ago, in a new design and finish.
They are antiqued Walking Sticks, with etched knobs (Bat Masterson style in shape.) The Finials and Knobs are antiqued gold, and the cane has a deeply polished wood grain. …A walking stick H. G. Wells would have been proud to own… Amazingly each cane weighs in at only 2 ounces, I think the lightest ever made! The “method/working” is almost invisible at close range, but very strong. There will only be about 100 or so numbered units made. These are not your “magic-ie” dancing canes. These look like real high-end canes, not stage props. They retail at $89.95 plus shipping (a real deal for a totally handmade prop) BUT… I’ll bring a few to the ICBM Gathering, and with a Convention Special of $10.00 off the price. I’ve loved these, and discerning magicians all over the world love them too. Magically, Bro. Walt |

Hi Walt,
I would love to see them, but, alas, I shalt be at the ICBM convention -- so, might you have any pictures? Thanks, David |

Here's a movie that supports the floating cane a lot (yes this is sarcastic):

This is me in the 80's doing dancing cane briefly in a Levi's commercial.
I kept it brief. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-jMYDWQuv4 I want one of these antiqued walking sticks so hook me up Walt. Where do I send the money. |

Eddie!
Your commercial proves three things: 1 – The cane is stronger performed for two seconds than two minutes. 2 – Stanley Tucci was once young, and did not always look like a gangster who owns a deli. 3 – Our little wooden headed friend was once very hot and very saucy-- woof! Who knew? The Ultimate Dancing Canes will be ready in early November, each has to be handmade in several steps. http://wackomagic.com/wackomagic/Dancing_Cane.html But --as said I’ll have the very first ones at ICBM, first come-first sold-first floated. ---------------------- Cirrus! --Yes a piece of true artistry indeed, an enviable performance. <croak, choke> --This is the exact reason Michael designed the canes the way he did-- and why he includes 8 pages of angry ranting instructions on how not to do it. --A gentleman’s Walking Stick is best floated (they not even need dance) for 10 seconds max --and 15 seconds only if you have a huge ego, or can dance with it like Astaire. --If one thinks outside the box, the cane may be haunted, or not float and only move upon command ala séance, or become magnetic due to psychic phenomenon. The antique look and slight weight helps the magi to think out of the box. I have the first piece of the older design, and prize it in my collection, can’t wait to see these babies. Magically, Bro Walt |

You can count me in too... Been wanting a decent cane since seeing Loki at a convention some 7 maybe 8 years ago. But none of the ones out there really did it for me. If they look half as good as the description reads they won't be sitting in the workshop too long.
If there's an "email me when they're ready so I don't miss out" list please put me on it. Otherwise I'll have to do my best to keep my beady little eye on the wacky-o site.

I do not care if it does not break down into 2 pieces. Never owned one of those.
I always used the balsa canes I would get from Tannens. They always served me well...but NOW I would certainly enjoy something a bit more stylish like this antique haunted Cane. |
